Title: Friday the 13th (just a vent) Post by juvy on Jun 13th, 2003, 8:58am Well normally i'm not a superstitious person but today has literally been the day from Hell. CPH is torturing my poor brain. It's back to the strength and vengeance it was last year with out the meds. Work hasn't helped. Anything that could go wrong has. I've got a shipment of goods being ransacked by the Czech customs. Which means it will be late and the customer will be short and of course they are upset. The rest of their shipment has been damaged beyond belief by a forklift. The network for my cellphone is having "technical problems" so I can't be reached by phone and i have a meeting in Leiden and I don't know exactly where the meeting is. Worst part is, that every friday at work we get off at 5pm instead of 5:30 for beer and chips in the cantina. They're not doing that today cuz the beer wasn't delivered. So we work until 5:30. Anyone else having a difficult Friday the 13th? Cheers no tears, ~Juvy |

Traffic was light, got here early. Left my lunch on the kitchen counter Left my wallet on my dresser Tank is on empty (was planning on filling up after work). Servers are in granny gear Staff is whinning Boss is demanding information the server won't spit out. Weather is great God has blessed me with another day of challenges, opportunities, and life. It's a great day so far. |

My daughter was up at 3am. 4:30 I was hit with about an 8 5:40 was time to get up after falling back asleep 40 minutes earlier. Forgot my bran muffin in the Mircowave. Rained the whole way into work so the drive took 2 hours and I got in late. Will not meet my deadline to get the new pricing out to all of my dealers by this afternoon. (At this point I really don't care) I was told that we are getting a health insurance increase of $66 a month. I guess I'll try and pull that one out of my a**. I've got a really heavy shadow hanging over my head right now. I just want everyone to leave me the Fu** alone. And worse yet my daughter has the weekend with my a** hole ex this weekend. He gets her every other weekend and I hate it!! One weekend he had her Picture this- she's going to be 3. he let her run through the parking lot of the supermarket chasing a balloon. - I was in the store and she comes up to me "Hi mommy!" he was nowhere in site! So I understand!! TODAY SUCKS!!!!! I can't wait for it to be over!! |

Forklift damaged some stuff and they weren't able to ship it. Now I know why today is so YUCK! Friday the 13th. I stay home all the time don't keep up with the dates just the days. The first and fifteenth are the only two dates I know each month pay days LOL! I think there is a full moon out to! Between the baby and the dogs and the clusters sleep last night sucked. Today I am just a walking body not much of my brain is working today. Everything I have touched has turned to crap. I feel much better knowing its because its the 13th!!! Now I am going to go sit and watch TV, and I am not moving till midnight! |

Two nights ago it seemed like all 42 of the heart monitors were alarming at the same time! I love my job, but the audio and visual that night were more than I've had before at one time. Stress at an all time high. We lost two patients....and I am the one to call out their rhythms to the nurses when someone is going bad. My hospital is one of the best, so the patients received state of the art treatment. They just could no longer be helped. Yesterday and today I'm having anxiety attacks. I wonder if I will be looking for a more peaceful job. I'll know in a few days. I have the next four nights off. Maybe it is just the full moon and I'll feel better in 72 hours. |

Now the the implementation date is around the corner and the project is in jeopardy, and she's special, I get the wonderful task of pulling it off in the 11th hour, and she moves out from under it. I may drop from the radar screen for awhile. At least I'm employed. |

Title: Re: Friday the 13th (just a vent) Post by badpunkchick on Jun 14th, 2003, 12:40pm it's all on how you view the day... if you think i's gonna be bad, it's gonna be hell... for me i find friday the 13th a lucky day. it landed on the last day of finals week... i went to see two of my professors regarding two of my independent study classes i arranged for the quarter so that i could work on two great essays and potentially get them published so that when i apply to grad school they will look more at the fact that i've been published rather than my average gpa. one of my professors said it was publishable... the other one said "it would be a waste of postage to submit it to american antiquity (an anthropological journal)" ironically i got the higher grade on the waste of postage... so i didn't really get upset, i just found it ironic. |
