Title: Do they end, and when? Post by Donna on Jun 8th, 2003, 7:53am Ch has completely stopped in some of the "a little bit older" people around here. Is this to be expected in every one? What is the oldest age sufferer you have ever heard of? |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by suzy617 on Jun 8th, 2003, 8:02am This is a good question Donna. I'd like to know myself. I will be 48 soon and sure as hell hoping the beast thinks I'm too old to bother with. But seriously, if it does leave older people, I'm curious to know why that is. I think the oldest age sufferer would be Jonny, he is 96. ;D Suzy |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by Bob_Johnson on Jun 8th, 2003, 8:24am END ZEN How does it end? It ends, That's all. -Donald Rumsfeld ------------- I'm 67 and had a brief cycle nearly a year ago. They appear to be shorter cycles with more time between them--as time passes. |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by maria9 on Jun 8th, 2003, 8:09pm Hey Donna, I have had this right eye imploding, exploding, right nasal congestion thingies, right upper jaw pain, right ear pain, wake me up in the middle of the god damn night every two hours, during the day time afraid to eat anything, should it trigger an attack, typically lose 10-15 lbs per cycle, people who don't know me well will ask,"you look really good, have you been on a diet?' No, I politely will add, thinking to myself, it is just these "stupid headaches" as I refer to them. Mine started at 16 years of age, every year episodic, once a year for 22 years. Only one cycle in the the last 8 years, so there is hope, for all of you out there that this horror will one day go away. Maria :) |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by gene on Jun 8th, 2003, 11:20pm I'm 52/ Still waiting to grow out of them!! Good news tho- I think this cycle has been better in all ways! Shorter individual attacks (from 45 min to 1 1/2 hr to 15 min to 1/2 hr) Less severe! down an avg of 3/4 kip pts I'm hoping a shorter cycle Hope these will be both of our final cycles!! Gene |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by Charlie on Jun 8th, 2003, 11:37pm I was 23 when they hit and about 45 they took powder. I wish I could come up with something definitive but nope. There is some iffy evidence that age can have an effect. We can't say much for sure. There's always a chance. Take care kids Old Charlie |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by Donna on Jun 9th, 2003, 8:07am A ray of hope? Some say hardening of the arteries has something to do with it. I had them twice per year, 6 weeks in duration, for 28 years. Then one day, they just quit. That was in 1986. Amen |

Title: Re: Do they end, and when? Post by Brian_Y on Jun 10th, 2003, 10:41am I am 36 (shaddup!!) and my doctor said they would stop "when my life slowed down". When I asked him what that meant, he said that as soon as you are done with raping and pillaging at work, as soon as your children go off to boarding school/college, then you are done. I stuck an icepick in his fucking chest. Tally ho!! |
