Hi everyone. I've been pain free now for a few years and saw no need to come to CH.com. When I was getting hit or was confused I came here and a whole lot of people responded, emailed me, sent me packages. It seems a lot of them are still here. Were you all still in pain after you extended yourself to me until I got better and abandoned you? Doesn't really matter because I'm self centered any way and see no need to stay around and help anybody else. I went off and enjoyed my life without CH and with out you. Last thing I wanted to deal with is other peoples suffering, but all that has changed now. I'm getting hit again!

Please feel sorry for me. Please respond to my pleas for help. Please email me. Please send me packages and agree to meet me. At least until I feel better and abandonded you all again and vanish for a few years. Hopefully with all your help I will soon be PF again and not have to deal with all of your suffering.

Well I hope you all helped a lot of new people while I was gone. I got what I needed so I split and completely ignored them knowing the rest of you would help them anyway. Its all about me again so please welcome me back with open loving arms and bath me in attention for a month or two.

Hi Don and welcome back, we've missed you terribly.
There have been a few new developments in the world of CH's since you've been gone.
Now the recomended way to fight clusters is drinking 2 or 3 beers and laying down for awhile.
Also for those really nasty cluster cycles you might want to try the nitroglycerin tabs.
Hell I've even read recently on here where crack cocaine will kill a cluster...amazing!
Hoping you have some luck trying these methods so you can get the hell outta here and back to your life. ;D

OK. So, let me get this straight then. What if, one day, some Polish scientist, working out of his home in Krakow, discovers that mud and dandelions, if mixed properly, cure (yes, cure) CHs? That is the "goal", is it not? To paraphrase someone I admire very much, to NOT have them is the goal, correct? And my involvement in this forum determines my caste in this forum? I think that bears some examination.

Compassion, measured, diminishes the MISSION of compassion. Not to mention the fact that what my activities and personality are like outside of this context cannot truly be known. How can you be 3 dimensional here? It's not possible. You know, I was one of those people you describe. Maybe I still am. But I was helped, met a new friend in Oregon, etc. and I am better for it...

I think the larger question here, is maybe an examination needs to be made of what the true purpose of this board is. What is its mission and is that being fulfilled? Personally, I think the jury is still out on that.

Really? How do you think that this post will entice people to want to register or stay. This post comes off to me as “ch.com. You can check in but you can never leave”

In my opinion welcome back lost members with open arms! Tell them your glad there back. Tell them they were missed. Tell them we need you. Make them want to stay around because this is a place they want to be.
You know what? In that persons absence they may have found out information that we need. Why would you want to run them off with useless drivel?

It’s not selfish of people to leave and then come back. People have lives, families and friends. Some are not as addicted to the Internet as others.
Just be nice no matter what, is what I say! You don’t know why someone left most of the time and is it really any of your/our business anyway?

Some people are way off.

I agree 100% with everything you said! I found this site and considered it a Godsend. I have said some bad things, some nasty things (For which I apologize) I have said some good things, I have had some disagreements with other members, and I have tried to find humor or make some humorous statements in light of our situation, but the one thing I have never done is abandoned one of my brothers or sisters in their time of need. And they have never abandoned me (even if they were PF or pissed at me!) Be it laughter, jokes, advice derived from a personal situation, grieving, or just plain listening, those things will always be there from me for the other CH sufferers and their families. The reason it will always be there is because that same caring attitude was always there for me. I've learned that even when I thought that some people were just trying to intentionally to piss me off, they were just trying to teach me something. I've lived, I've learned, and just try to payback all that I have gotten from this board.

I'm not trying to toot my own horn because I know that I'm not perfect in any way.(Especially my spelling) ;D

I have been (Thankfully) Pf since 6-15-02 but I still hang around and try to help in one way or another and I will help as long as I physically can.

Sometimes it's almost like getting a call from the kids once every 2 months and have them say "Dad, I need money, can you help me out!" but never asking if the lawn needs mowing! WTF?

Hey Don,

I don't think that anyone here figured that you would give a fuck what people thought - it just wouldn't be your style.

When I spread the word about CH's, I always point people toward Clusterheadaches.org first.

IMHO, people seeking info will get a good overview of what we go through and if they keep looking they will find this site - AFTER they have a rough understanding of CH's. THEN they just may understand the conversations that occur here.

I wouldn't apply that in all cases, but definitely to this one.
This is a place for CHers to vent, yell swear, laugh, joke and share info.

Want a place to impress politicians, Glaxo, etc. etc then start a politically correct suck up site Frank, or as Marc says, direct them to the OUCH site.
