Title: I'vr been gone for a bit . . . . .
Post by atwitsend on Jun 4th, 2003, 7:29pm
Hi everyone - It's Cheryl - Well Kev went into Boston last tues for a occipial nerve block.  Pressure from the shot was unreal (better than the CH) but almost just as annoying.  He ended up taking  2 shots per day for the pressure.   Pressure lasted  - 3 - 4 days - mostly came at night.

PF for 3 whole days !!  Then they came back yesterday.  Although he only had 3 all day his average was eight. We have an appointment on June 16th in at Mass General Hospital with new doc that wants to do the neurostimulator surgery.  Still wants to go thru with it even though things have been improving.  We have taked about it & think, in the long run, it will make the difference.

He is afraid if he cancels now - the beast will return & we'll have to wait another 3 months or so for the surgery.  Dam beasts are so unpredictable that it's hard to make a decision on a day that your feeling pretty good. ( Too few to count though).

Hope all the suffers are hangin in!!   :-*

Cheryl ;)

Nancy, evidently, Cheryl posted and ended up with extra posts... sometimes they duplicate, he was just letting her know how to remove the extraneous posts...

Right Jonny?

I AM assuming this so I may be making an a$$ of me and me LOL

Cheryl, so, the occipital block only gave him 3 days of relief?  AND he had this pressure all of those days?

I was wondering how that would work... I'm sure you guys told us, but, is he chronic or episodic?

Sherry

Please keep me updated on his progress with the occiptial nerve stimulator thing... I'm supposed to go to arizona in July for an evaluation...

I'm hoping to have it done in August.
