Post by KingOfPain on Jun 1st, 2003, 12:40am cootie, The way it was explained to me: Domestic birds (chicken, turkey,etc...) used for our consumption (or otherwise) do not migrate. Their breast muscles do not get used to fly distances. Certain parts of the body of these domestic birds/fowl do not get used like wild game. This is why ducks,geese, etc.... have no white meat. They migrate so their breast meat( & other parts) is/are also dark. Something like that. *Like I said, this is how it was explained to me. I have no idea if it is right or wrong. KOP |

If you want to see white meat you should see the tourists from anywhere east of the Colorado River. These people parade around in short pants (with white socks up to their knees). One look and you know they haven't seen the sun in months (or years). The pasty white legs are enough to blind a person 8) Please. if you're coming to Vegas, get a little sun before you come. And leave the white socks at home :P That's my opinion on white meat and I'm stickin' to it. |
