One of my best buddies will be going through hell tomorrow, I can't tell you who this person is or whats happing to her/him. But I can tell you she/he is worried about someone she/he loves very much.
This person has done a lot for us. Please say a prayer and send vibes, the good Lord will know where to direct the paryers.

Dammit, Elaine - you did it again.  You made me cry - cry because I know how much you love me and have protected me over the years, especially now, still keeping this under your hat.

It's me, people.  My Mom is having surgery today.  Scary stuff.  

Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts.  Even though you didn't know who you were sending them to.  

And, thanks to everyone in this thread who DID know what this was about.  I treasure each and every one of you.  I hope you all know that.

I'll try to post a little later with the results.  She's a tough gal - she'll do well.  I come from pretty darned good stock.  ;)

God, be with Mum today...

*Phew*  We got through it.  Mum did really well today.  Doctor said everything went according to plan and that he expects no complications.  Recovery will be a challenge but nothing she can't surmount.  Thanks so much, everyone - especially my twisted sister - for everything said here.  Especially for that prayer Donna - that was beautiful.  
This place is amazing - group prayer is amazing.  The world is a brighter place because of this place.  OK, i'm getting schmaltzy now, I'll shut up.

A day late, and a dollar short.

I am “In like Flint” on the prayers and vibes. Recovery needs the healing energies as well, so it’s not like I missed the boat; more like the boat has had a change in direction.

I, also, am amazed that this family will round up their powers (aren’t we kind of like
X-Men mutants?) and drive it home, without even knowing the target.

Margi, all the best wishes to your Mom, to you and to your family. She is so lucky to have you with her.
