Title: anyone experience this?
Post by Tony 18/6 on May 27th, 2003, 8:41pm
hello all......4 bad days in a row caused me to clench my jaw so much and so tight and hard that the side (just below ear lobe) of my face swelled up.....got nervous and thought I was having a reaction to my trex........also......do any of you get nagging headaches that dont get out of control but last all day long as your cycle winds down.....this has begun to happen to me and always does in my 5th week.....this will happen till the end of my 6th week when my cycle will end (hope to God it follows the same pattern).....one more thing I have noticed.....in the cycle before this one I keet a journal.....during this cycle, I read my journal and noticed that the cycle almost mirrored itself......if I read it I could tell, almost with amazing accuracy, what was about to happen to me on that particular day in the cycle.....oh well......just wondering if I have any company.....see ya...God Bless.........Tony 18/6

Only had one cycle but the headaches were always 1 1/2 hours after going to bed.  Didn't matter if I tried to stay up all night to avoid it .... right after falling in to a deep sleep ... WAM.  I got a lot of shadows at the end of my cycle (perhaps this is what you are referring to as headaches).  Shadows to me, mean the same type of pain only not nearly as severe.  I got these more and more often as the cycle ended with less and less real cluster headaches.

Hope that helped.

Tony,

My cycles were very similar before I started using medications.  Since I have found imitrex, zomig, verp, and etc. my cycles have not been predictable.  My I just got older but I think it is because of the medication.

As for long lasting low-level headaches, I also get those later in my cycle.  I blamed them on the use of medications and stress.  I start to get very stress out when I’m getting hit a lot.  I figured it sort of builds on it self, more imitrex, more stress, more headaches.  Finally when I think I can’t take anymore it ends.

I hope you are pain free soon.  Take care, stevek

Hey Tony,

When my attacks get REALLY bad, not only do I have several 10's a day but I also have the shadows in between.  And for me those shadows are constant making sleep impossible.  I'd like to say they are low-level and I guess compared to the 10's they are.  But my shadows are around a 5.  I don't know about everybody else but even if I'm only having a 3, I will not be able to fall asleep with it or I will be woken up from it...sleep is not an option no matter where they fall on the KIP.

Hope things get better!
