Hi,
I'm trying to help Cat with some logistics here even though she's an Ace and wants to do it all... including close on a house the first day of the Convention.. yer NUTS Cat.

Please - if you are flying to the Convention and are planning on using the shuttle service (to and/or from the resort to Syracuse airport), it is important we have your flight information. Please email me your flight itinerary for arrival and departure, so that the shuttle timing can be worked out efficiently. Details on the pickups and returns to the Syracuse airport will be given as they are coordinated with the flights scheduling.

I believe some are driving, others are what, sailing in or whatever. You guys, have a blast!!! I would drive but Suze and I will be having martinis on the way over. Well, Bloody Mary for her, Martini for moi.

This (the shuttle thing) has been one of my concerns for quite some time now. I spoke with Cat before about it.

How far is it from the airport to the resort? anyone know?

Kev, Syracuse Airport is approximately 75-80 miles from the resort. It takes about an hour and half to drive it.

I am still trying to get rental car discounts as well, but I don't want anyone to hold their breathe. The shuttle may still be hopeful for a discount as well, but again, I never heard back from them so I will have to hound them again.

Pep will take care of the logistics for getting everyone put on a shuttle (bless her heart) and will let you know the final price should we get that discount :)

(current price is $90 round trip)

p.s. if the numbers remain small, we will be attempting to rent a passenger van (hopefully the base will be kind enough to participate in a non profit organization event) and the cost will be divided among the riders. You will still need to get your flight details to pep either way.

Holy moly! Now I'm startin to get nervous.... :o .. ::)... ;D

Please send me the contact info for the shuttle Cat. I really want to get on this, once I start getting flight info I can get back to folks quickly. I think as far as the shuttle is concerned, if people fly into Syracuse (which I believe some will fly to Watertown, no???), It'd probably be best to have folks leaving in groups. It depends on whether the shuttle is a car type service or bus thing.

AND... I've got my tickets already. Do you want my itinerary Cat? :)

Mast and I are flying into Watertown on Thursday. I'll be renting a car, so if anyone needs a ride on that day.....I'll be glad to take them.

Not sure what time the flights get in.....I'll let you know as soon as my travel agent lets me know.

If anyone needs picking up at Watertown on Friday.....I'll be happy to drive in and pick them up. Just let me know.

I will be in on Thursday late afternoon. Hm, I will need the shuttle for that day.

I wonder how many people are arriving Thursday....from what I've heard it sounds like quite a few.

Were comen in from Ohio...I have no idea of the route deal.....anyone needin a ride stand along the main highway with spiked heels and a too-too and I'm sure we'll spot ya and give ya a ride rest of the way.....BTW....we'll be in the big red truck with the rocker on top and coon dog cages in back. (were leavein granny at home) ! ;D ..........Ah-ha-ha-coot

I have gotten a haphazard response from most. so far people are either sharing rides from the airport with those who are renting, or driving in. There is still a small number of you whom haven't decided or haven't been able to get back to me.

If you are going, and already have made your arrangements regarding your travel, please let me know, especially if you know that you haven't conveyed your mode of transportation. I'm making a list and checking it twice (I know I'm jolly but I ain't Santa ;D ) just to make sure that everyone is covered and no one is stranded at the airport without a ride.

I appreciate it. Its going to be one hell of a Thursday night at that Syracuse airport - I tell you its an interesting bunch :D!!

I'm sorry Patti, and here I am NOT letting you know when I'll be in...On Wed. and Cat is picking me up..

as to your Interesting Thursday thought? In Vancouver, I get off the plane and go through customs and all of a sudden someone is walking next to me talking to me. I'm in a fog so I pay no attention right away. Then I finally turn to my left only to see "zipperhead" Mike Story and Mr. Woods hisself......

It might REALLY be an interesting day for you Patti. Cat and I will be waiting at the hotel with cool ones for all. Unless you're late, in which case.......Cat and I will have had a great time without you. lol LindaH

BTW. I am flying with run-around-Suzy, and meeting Tracey and Mastiff at the airport. If we're lucky we'll bump into Jonny & DJ at the airport - boy that will be one hell of an arrival!

Cold ones? After Sat. night I might have to make sure that's only cold water ..... yesterday was NOT fun. LOL

Hi, if everything goes according to plan I will be flying into Toronto (just hope their Sars clears up). I'll take the train to Kingston and there take a rental car to drive along the river to the Thousands Islands bridge and across.

So, no, at the mo I don't foresee needing any transportation.

If anybody is living near my route I'll be happy to pick them up.
