Title: Diflucan Post by Callico_Kid on May 20th, 2003, 7:52am Last night I was looking through some of the oldest posts in the archives and found several referenced to Diflucan for Candida infestations. A number of people talked of relief from clusters as a result. I haven't seen anything about it in the last year or so I've been here. Was there no long term relief or was it another one of the coincidences that sometimes occurs when we do something unrelated that appear to help? Is anyone still using this? Hope this makes sense. It was a long night last night, and I'm late to work again. See y'all tonight. jc |

Title: Re: Diflucan Post by Margi on May 20th, 2003, 8:59am Flash used Difulcan (or was it Lamasil?) for a while and, I believe, did feel a lot better. He also conducted a candida test here on the board and it was amazing how many clusterheads tested positive for an overgrowth! A systemic overgrowth can cause a myriad of problems and once you start digging into this theory, it will blow you away when you realize the commonalities clusterheads have, that can possibly be traced back to candida. I don't think it's bunk at all. It's one of those treatments that is controversial for sure, but if it makes just one clusterhead feel better, it's nothing to laugh at. |

Title: Re: Diflucan Post by Callico_Kid on May 20th, 2003, 10:40pm Thanks for the reply Don! ;D I needed that laugh! Obviously I'm not concerned with the vaginal aspects, but the use for Candida. Margi, I really appreciate your response. Is Flash still using it? Is it still giving relief? I would be interested in the results anyone else has experienced with Difulcan or anything else for Candida before I talk with the Neuro again next week. This may be on the wrong board, but I wanted to get as much exposure to the question as I could get. Thanks! jc |
