Well, I woke up to the head demon this morning. :'( God it's been awhile -- almost 3 years now. Luckily, Imitrex worked like a charm. I'll probably wait until tomorrow to decide if I'm going to start the Verapamil or not.

I'm in the process of tapering off Effexor (an anti-depressant). Does anyone know if that could be a trigger?

I used Effexor for a while Jewel, but when i went off it, it didn't seem to have any effect on my CHs, but that's me it may treat you different. BTW Welcome back!

I’ve never used “Effexor”... but I think ??? to give it to Fabio, he is a little depressed ;D ;D... but not for me ;D ;)... for my beast which doesn’t live me... :-/.... I joke of course!!

Anyway, Verapamil works for me,

Welcome back Jewel!

I didn't have CH's when I went off Effexor, but I was replacing it with Celexa.

I've been told to try Verap by many people here. I'm going to ask my doc about it when I see her next week. It's my understanding that the sooner you start it, the better luck you'll have with ending/preventing episodes.
