I have recently found another sufferer in my area and after a conversation with his wife, she told me that her hubby`s doc referred him to OUCH. Even my own doc takes info from here and tries to help me with the different drugs and stuff when i come into my episode.

it seems the docs need this site more than we do.

all the hard work that folks have put into this site has`nt been waisted and is being used by newcomers everyday.

most of you wont know i am from england, only the oldies here. so even over the pond it is helping somewhat. For those of you that leave this site or for those of you that dont post so much or actually do anything constructive, like myself lol, i admit i was here for some of you for a while, but my train of thought wanders to more pressing matters of family life and so on and so forth, i`ve gained knowledge and friends here which i am eternally grateful for and those peeps are still in my heart and mind all the time.

those of you which pour your heart and soul into this site are the troopers, and glad you, you stay around for those who need you and for your own personal reasons, but dont ever think that your presence is worthless, you lot have done a lot of work on here for the docs to help new patients which should be honoured.

well, that`s it for a while, keep going guys, you are needed.

Your right Cher, I may be patting my back and all the old timers that started this board but when docs start reffering peeps to this board it makes me feel good that alot of CH'ers will not have to go a decade without finding us.

If you would like a strong perspective, start with the first posts in the Archives and work forward towards today. It provides insight into how the site and the people (present and absent) evolved into what it/they are today. Bright, insightful, and goddawful posts are all there.

You are saying "That is wrong" as in I am incorrect in my statement?

Or "That is wrong" as in - it shouldn't be that way.

Oh no. Your statement is dead on.

It's wrong that people judge OUCH by what they read here.

Do I address the drug companies emails from OUCH with Hey youse guys like I might here? Of course not.

Would I tell an insurance company in a correspondance from OUCH to Shut The Fuck Up as I may do here? Of course not.

I agree!!

And yes, of course you handle direct OUCH functions way differently than the friendly banter here on the message board. You and I have discussed this before.

I too wish that my original statement was incorrect, but it's not........ OUCH will be judged partially by the interaction on this board. Try using the major search engines, generally ch.com will come before ch.org

That was the only point I was trying to make ;D

Marc you are right in my eyes. anyone should try it put clusters in the yahoo, or google see what you get. Its very easy to hit clusterheadaces.com instead of .org

Professionals will normally not make judgements on a professional society according to how ppl supported by that society interact with each other. Anyone familiar with online message boards would know that what is said on those message boards are not necessarily supported by external groups, or my the board itself.

I would hope that any doctor, insurance agent, or any other professional that would visit CH.com would visit it for the information provided by the side, and not for the discussions that may or may not be directly related to CH on the board. And anyone directed to OUCH, should be correctly directed to clusterheadaches.org, and if not, then anyone that can help correct this oversite do so at the earliest possible convience, so as to prevent the confusion that may result.
