My friend who was attacked, is making, in her Doctor’s words “an amazing and remarkable recovery” and was discharged two days ago. The swelling and bruising in the face has just seemed to mostly, go away. Her spirits are great, and she refuses to let this bring her down (sound like anyone we know?).

A person’s belief or disbelief in a type of god (there are many paths to truth), has no bearing on our power to heal. In my mind “Vibes” and “Prayers” are synonymous; as are “Miracle” and “an amazing and remarkable recovery”. I have always tried to walk a fine line, within the religions on this board. I never, ever meant to “preach”.

I find this message board, one of the great joys on this earth, and I will never leave.

Great news David. So glad your friend is recovering and has been released from the hospital.

David, I just read the thread about your friend last night, and I wish I had been around to post when it happened. I'm so glad she is doing well with her recovery. I have always thought a great deal of a persons ability to heal and recover comes from their state of mind, and it sounds as if your friend is one, tough lady.

You hit the nail on the head with your statement about beliefs.....be they prayers, vibes or good thoughts....they are all good, and they do help a person. Even the power of a smile or laughter can help heal, and this board brings a lot of all.....vibes, thouights, prayers, smiles, laughter.

Great news David. Your friend picking herself up and carrying on living as best she can is the best thing she could do to send a big F-YOU back to the a$$holes that did this to her.
