Title: It's back Post by BillK on May 11th, 2003, 7:53am The beast is back >:( Gone two years, but back full force. An hour twice a day; one at work, the other when I should be asleep. It's been two weeks now, my new boss is educated now so he leaves me alone; my wife's initial panic is over so she can now go to work without worrying about leaving me alone at home on weekends. She's a nurse on a post-surgical floor, experienced in pain-control, and the beast bothers her almost as much as it hurts me. I've got my fingers crossed that this cycle is only 6 weeks long like the last two times. As bad as it is, I'm thankful I'm not chronic. And thanks to all for the upbeat posts I see here! The non-PF days are easier to take when you can a moment to laugh. |

Title: Re: It's back Post by Bob_Johnson on May 11th, 2003, 9:43am What are you using to abort the attack?? |
||
Title: Re: It's back Post by BillK on May 11th, 2003, 10:11am All I'm using at the moment is hydrocodone 5s and coffee. Each attack lasts about an hour, then another hour to recover some energy. Each attack hits about Kip 7 or 8. I've found that if I try to abort, I end up with a Kip 2 that lasts until the next attack. |
