Title: Connor's 1st T-Ball practice
Post by athos12 on May 8th, 2003, 11:42am
Connor had his first t-ball practice.

It was a riot watching a bunch of 5 year olds all about half the size of connor.

well... one ball was hit out and hit him in the hat..  did not hurt him..

The coach said good use of the hat, now throw it to first base...  so from 2nd base he took off his hat and threw it to first base.... and made it...

I was laughing so hard I nearly fell down.

I can't wait for an actual game.

Athos, tell Connor Cathy sends him a big  :-* and when he's a star I'll be over to watch him.... :), tell him that Elliot started playing football a few weeks ago but hasn't quite got the hang of which goal he's supposed to put the ball in!!! It's a learning curve...Hats off to Connor... ;D

Cathy,

Will do....  He loves it!  He has been hitting a pitched ball since he was nearly 3...  T-Ball is almost a step back for him, he is a little confused about it...  But still has great fun.

Kids sports can be a lot of fun.  I started coaching 10 years ago to make sure it stayed fun.  I’m currently coaching a girls (13 year olds) football side, damn I mean soccer team.  These Brits have bizarre names for the soccer terms.  Next I’ll be calling the field a pitch and the cleats will be boots.  My daughter’s club team had a British coach who still thinks they are playing football.   LOL

Maybe I started over with the little guy so I can spend 10 more years coaching.
