Title: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by captdshea on May 4th, 2003, 2:48pm Is it typical for you to lose lots of weight when in cycle?.. David |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by kim on May 4th, 2003, 3:05pm Yes. That's because I'm afraid to eat........when ya eat you "slow down" and that's when I get hit. So, I tend to drink lots of coffee and try and keep busy and not eat or sleep or do anything that induces "relaxation"......... Jenny Craig Poster Girl ;D |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Joanie on May 4th, 2003, 3:16pm Hi David, Normally, I have always lost weight, due I think to the stress of the Ch. This time, however, I put on lots of weight due to the high doses of steroids I was on. Joanie (Jenny Craig poster girl wannabe! ;D) |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by oringkid on May 4th, 2003, 7:40pm I don't know about "lots" of weight, but I do tend to eat less, mostly because I tend to get hit right before or right as I begin to eat... then an hour to 2 hours later, the food just don't look quite as appetizin'! Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Callico_Kid on May 4th, 2003, 11:32pm I've been gaining because they have my schedule so messed up I am not getting the work I normally do, hence not as much excercise. jc |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Charlie on May 5th, 2003, 4:30am From 1969 to 1991, I gained about 20 pounds but it had nothing to do with CH. For the last 12 years they have been gone and I haven't gained at all. In otherwords: No Charlie |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by JDH on May 5th, 2003, 10:12am My weight may go down a little but I think that's just due to all of the stress involved and lack of exercise when I'm in a cycle. Jim |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by totka on May 5th, 2003, 10:14am Yes Captain, I lost about 5 kgs in January and I gained 7 kgs in a week in February during my steroid-treatment. |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by vig on May 5th, 2003, 2:35pm I've lost ~40 pounds in the last 2 years. The bright side of this coin! |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Kenzie60 on May 5th, 2003, 2:46pm Yes, I lost 12 lbs., I think its because I am afraid to eat, because that might bring on a headache. Also I have no desire to eat when I am in cycle. I have to make myself eat when I am in cycle. When I am in cycle I get a weird taste in my mouth, does anyone else get that? ??? ??? ??? Roseanne |
||
Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by vig on May 5th, 2003, 2:55pm I get a taste in my mouth like I just licked a battery... and very little appetite during the episodes. I often have no food anywhere in my system, it's not uncommon to go 24 - 36 hours on water only. I suppose I should get some vitamins. |
||
Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by JCM on May 5th, 2003, 3:57pm Yes I have loss weight also. It seems like right when I am ready to eat the headache comes and destroys the appetite. The past 3 weeks I have been on a diet on pain killers and coffee, with a couple of meals in between. Hope this ends soon. >:( |
||
Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Kenzie60 on May 5th, 2003, 4:13pm That's the taste. Like licking a battary. Makes you loss your appette. (I can't spell during cycle) (Brain meltdown) :o If my husband didn't make me eat I wouldn't. I could live on water during a cycle. Roseanne :o |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Bob P on May 5th, 2003, 4:19pm Yes. I lose 15-20 per cluster cycle. I don't eat so the cafergot tabs I use will work faster on an empty stomach. |
||
Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by captdshea on May 5th, 2003, 5:32pm Like Bob P. I lose around 15lbs in a cycle. From reading here we can see most suffers do and looks like most are afraid to eat. Thanks for the replys PFDAN to all. David |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by OneEyeBlind on May 5th, 2003, 5:41pm Don't think I lost nothing but sleep !!!!!!!!!! And my sanity. Out of cycle, fat & Happy in PA, Nan |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by BruceD on May 5th, 2003, 5:47pm I'd say no for me. I lose my appetite, but then because of lack of sleep my extra activity/exercise decreases too. I've never noticed any weight loss during an episode, but then I really don't have all that many spare pounds to lose in the first place. |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by Big_Dan on May 5th, 2003, 8:04pm I wish I lost alot of weight during cycle.... ... but you know what happens to it after midnight, dontcha?... ;D -Big Dan |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by ZAIRA on May 6th, 2003, 3:30pm Hello David, :D Yes, 1 or max 2 kg... my neuro tells me that this is due to Lithium... but: I don’t know! ??? ??? ??? All the best for you, Zaira |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by brain_cramps on May 6th, 2003, 5:26pm I used to lose 10 - 20 lbs each cycle but haven't really lost much since being med-free. Besides having a bit of an appetite, another reason is I'll eat a lot of small meals. No BIG meals. NEVER MISS ANY MEALS!!! Then, for me, the 'big relaxation on the couch' doesn't happen and I usually only get hit at night. It works for me... grant 8) |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by marty on May 7th, 2003, 7:45am Hi there Captain.. I only seem to loose sleep and sometimes (I think) my mind (but the mind thing may be a chronic problem). Not-feeling-to-smart-today-Marty Have you all noticed what Pam made us do when we add our names to the bottom of what we wrote..? ;D |
||
Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by BobG on May 7th, 2003, 8:05am Marty I noticed a few folks try to imitate Pam's sign off style but they failed miserably. I, for one, ain't goin' there BobG |

Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by echo on May 7th, 2003, 8:35am Not normally but I do remember several cycles where I lost between 110 and 250 pounds. Another name for that amount of weight loss would be "Friends". |
||
Title: Re: ?.. For Episodic Suffers Post by NotH20 on May 7th, 2003, 9:55am David, I also have weight loss - it's mainly due to the meds and just not feeling like eating. The last thing I want to do is the dance w/ a full belly. >:( Mia |
