Title: First Post Post by fzapped on Apr 24th, 2003, 8:43am I have had episodic clusters since 1978. I was first diagnosed correctly in Dec. 2000, before that I was told it was sinus infection, allergies, tension HA, etc. I just started a new cycle the begining of this month. Over 2 years since the last cycle was joyfull. Last cycle I was given topomax, which helped, but I'm prone to kidney stones and I got one from it. Ended up having to have a procedure performed to remove it. After scouring the internet for info on CH, I saw a study on melatonin and started taking 9mg a day about 1 1/2 weeks ago. It appears as though I may be one of the few people it helps, last 4 days have been pain free or nearly pain free, time will tell. Since this cycle started I was getting 2-3 HA a day, increasing in intensity and duration each day. Fzapped |

Title: Re: First Post Post by echo on Apr 24th, 2003, 9:09am Hope it works for you. It has always amazed me the widespread differences in preventative meds and how they help some and not others. |
