Title: Important booze question
Post by Bonniegirl on Apr 19th, 2003, 7:36pm
Hey, I'm winding down on my cycle(last clusterf*ck was a few days ago. I've just been having shadows since then.) My question is,  how safe do you all think it is to drink right now? ???I've got the opportunity to go shoot some pool tonite and God, I could use a drink. ;)What is your experience with that? I'm willing to forgo the brew if vodka is safer, but, I don't really know. ::)I'd be so pissed at myself >:( if I started it up (the real hell) again. Anyone's input is mucho appreciated.      :-*-Bonniegirl

Hey Bonnie,
Glad to hear the pain is coming to an end. Life becomes beautiful once again, doesnt it?
I never had a problem drinking vodka in cycle, only beer was a big No No for me. But if all alcohol is a trigger for you then I would wait a little longer to indulge.
Have fun,
Suzy

We are all different but personally I wouldn't touch alcohol until completely out of cycle (i.e. totally clear, no shadows)
It is only then for me that alcohol doesn't almost instantly trigger a full attack.

Sorry to piss on your flames. :-/ :-/ If you do decide to risk it, I suggest you make sure you have your drugs and a fast escape route just in case.

Have a very good night! I'm off to bed now as it is 2am here.

Love

I'm one of the wierd ones here. Alcohol usually isn't a trigger for me. I have been in cycle since December, and have drank something virtually every day since it started. On a rare occasion when alcohol triggers an attack, it will be beer that does it... never the hard stuff.

Ahhhhhhh....BonnieLass.......ye've touched upon the sore point of CH.....the one time you COULD use a drink, you CAN'T have one. More wry tricks of life. Never the less, you sound like a woman of youthful spirit and endeavor....
Might I suggest a _Slightly_ more prudent approach............one tempered by Age and Fiber.
Stay home, near the safety net. Hammer down a couple of brews right quick, and see which way Wotan has blown your fate. You'll be the first to know.

One Ball in the Right Pocket,
RJ

Bonniegirl,

Beer was sometimes a trigger for me but booze never was. I'm not sure why ???

Crack is a definite trigger for me, especially the ones with a G-string in them.LOL
