I guess they cant legislate it, but they apparently sure can propogandize people into stifling free speech for them or at least acting like it was treasonous to express ones opinions.
I split for a few days and i come back to all these posts calling me opie and posting silly photohsop pics.
and saying good riddance, etc .... yeah this board is a warm and welcoming place huh .... So I wonder nobody wants to go the convention ... that's weird,

maybe a lot of CH'ers are pinko-commie-liberals and dont want the Patrio-Zealots(tm) to blow their cover.

Yup.

Over time you see a cycle of whackos come to the board. Disrupt it for awahile, then become a parody of themselves.

Then just as quickly as they came "poof" their gone!

They don't get away with it. They get away with banning mandatory prayer in school and school-sponsored prayer (mandatory or not). And that happens because of the "establishment clause" within what you just quoted. The times there are zealous, albeit ignorant, school officials stopping individuals from praying aloud (you can't stop someone from praying to themselves since you can't know it's happening), such as before a test or before letting that school lunch into your system, AND it's taken to court, the courts correctly rule that one is allowed to pray in school. That too is because of the "establishment clause."

Most of us spend too much time on this god thing. I think the less we bitch, the less the Pat Robertsons have to say. Ted is right. When I was in school, back when books were a novelty, I think most of us at least thought saying "under God" was part of the deal. Somewhere along the way, it didn't work for me and I stopped adding it. Not a big deal. It's kinda like the nativity stuff. It's not nice to screw up people's holiday. Sue them after Christmas if you must but frankly, it looks dumb and all it does is stir up these bible thumpers, It's a waste of time.

A band? How about no band? That would suit me. When did it become a crime not to have crap on in the background?
