Title: Barn Party! Post by Roxy on Apr 5th, 2003, 10:36am This is an open invitation to all clusterheads and supporters! ;D We are having a big barn party tonight to celebrate my oldest son's birthday. We've smoked 12 racks of ribs, couple of big briskets, got the beans and potato salads. Keg's of beer have already been delivered. For all you Canadian's, I know it's American beer, but do you think you can make do for the night? We have the washer boards set up to pitch washers, the roller roper is saddled and ready to go and the horseshoe pits are dug. I want everyone to show up......we'll just call it an earlier convention get together....... ;) |

Title: Re: Barn Party! Post by don on Apr 5th, 2003, 11:00am Is smoking ribs legal and does it help with a CH. I've become treatment tolerant to smoking ants. So where's the party? |

Us country folk are pretty strong Linda....but, not quite that strong. ;) You just pitch 3" washers through holes cut into boards, certain amount of points for whichever of the 3 holes you hit. Had a pretty good pot going (everything down here is done for money...LOL), of course my husband always wins it, so I get half!!!! Kept looking for a clusterhead to show up......sigh.....was so disappointed.... :( The evening really got lively when we had hail and bad storms. With about 25 catastrophe insurance adjusters at the party.....they really started hitting the beer hard in celebration when they found out it hailed over most of north Texas. They might get to go to work now. Only one or two casualties, one drunk fell off the roller roper. One guy brought his .22/pellet gun from England....with a silencer on it (if you can imagine that). Greg had to see if it was sighted in right.....all my mercury vapor lights have now been decimated. All in all.....we survived.....but, the beer didn't..... ;D :D |

Hey Roxy, in St Louis (where I always heard washers were invented ;) ) we play with the same size washers you do but we use 2 boxes made of 2x4's with a 6" cup in the middle. you space them about 20' apart and have one team member per side. 1 point for in the box and 3 points for in the cup. It's a great drinking game. Jim |
