Title: oxygen and imitrex Post by amber on Apr 4th, 2003, 2:23pm Hey all So I got my O2, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. I feel like the freak of the litter cause so many people here have success with it. I also got imitrex injections (finally...all i've had to far is pill form)....it seems to be working much better. Thanks everyone for your help! Amber |

Title: Re: oxygen and imitrex Post by Frank on Apr 4th, 2003, 2:59pm Do you have the right mask? Has to be the non-rebreather one... and a flow rate at least 8 lpm. I usually have to give until the pain is gone... plus another five minutes. And though it works for most of my attacks, it doesn't for the Kip-10+ ones. |

Title: Re: oxygen and imitrex Post by JDH on Apr 4th, 2003, 3:40pm Amber, Sorry to hear you didn't get any relief from the o2, it's been a life saver for me. Frank mentioned the non-rebreather mask, is that what they gave you? Also, how many LPM's are you using? I've never used the Imitrex tabs but I have used the nasal and the injections and to me there's no comparison, the injections work much faster. pfdan's to you, Jim |
