Title: Politics, Religion and Sex........ Post by WeezohKnows on Mar 26th, 2003, 9:32pm Some of you know me, most of you don’t. Been awhile since I have posted. Sitting here this morning I was thinking about all of us here. I am sure all of us at one time in life have heard that you shouldn’t discuss these three things in mixed company. I have never really given it too much credit. Without these three things to talk about, what would most of us have to say. Further more, they are rights we have been given and should be thankful daily for that it wasn’t us that had to die for them. They are the rights that the most brave people in the world I know are fighting for now and in the past. Our military is over there protecting the freedom and safety of each and everyone of us. How can anyone ignore that or dispute it? In our first amendment arena of free speech regarding politics we have Slammy, Ted and Charlie. I love it that we all don’t agree on political issues. I am sure that’s what makes us Americans!!! I love to see how others think, right or wrong. We are all given that right. In the Religion arena we have TerryS, I love this man. Always has something worthy to say. Like it or not its worthy. In the Sex arena we have a few always coming with something to make the eyebrows raise. Like it or not, they can and will do it. All these things we aren’t suppose to talk about for fear of causing dissension or being politically correct (cry babies,wah!!!). It is our right, its why we live here, why we come here to read, find hope, feel better, help others, vent. To all you service men and women, veterans I thank you with all I have. If I could I would line all of you men up, say a prayer for you, give you a thank you blow job, and tell you its not about being a republican or a democrat or a liberal, its about Freedom and I love you and support you for letting me keep mine. Piper, you definitely said a lot of great things in your post. Sorry all your well-thought-out points are not being given more attention instead. I agree completely with you that staying away from discussing these three things would make many conversations pretty bland and not worth having. There's never anything wrong with controversy as long as people can keep their heads while discussing them and not take disagreement or a "taboo" topic as a personal insult. The only difference in my friendship with you and my friendship with Piper is that I've been lucky enough to meet you in person, and I haven't been blessed yet by meeting Piper face to face. I value my friendships deeply with each of you. However, I WILL not get caught in the middle here, and I think YOU know ME well enough to know that I stick up for my friends when something bad is said about them. I've done it for you, and I'll do it again in a heartbeat if I need to. Right now, I'm sticking up for Piper because i feel she has every right to say what she wants here, just as any clusterpeep does, and she shouldn't get criticized for speaking her heart. Maybe she's felt intimidated from posting. I know I sure have around here lately. It's not something only newbies go through. Us old farts can get to feeling hushed sometimes too. I love you both and would go to the mat for either one of you. Right now, I'm on the mat for Piper. Tomorrow, it may be for you. I did the same as you and was upset by a post sent to someone else on this site and expressed my outrage. The person concerned was not at all upset and I just inflamed things for which I was sorry. I have too had personal experiences that make me want to fight for what I think is right, but it sometimes makes me jump in too quickly and too hard without knowing the facts I think it is up to Piper to say if she finds this upsetting, and for my pennysworth, I can't think she would have offered blow-jobs to the troops on the site as a joke if she was likely to find locker-room jokes offensive.
