or know a kid in the gulf... Can we list them here so we can pray for them by name... Mine is Corporal Sean Munger 21  he is really funny and would be celebrating St Patty's day big time ( probably is on the ship or where ever he is...)  He is the light of our family...

I am selfishly happy that my son has finished his 4 year military time last year and is home.
Ree, I think of your son often and I know how you must be so proud of him yet worried.
Sean is in my prayers....

I don't know him very well, but I did interview him for an article I wrote in the OUCH newsletter. He is one funny, smart, dutiful, loyal kid you have there, Ree. I think he needs to be named twice here. So, Corporal Sean Munger.

Excellent thread Ree.

Clark is active duty AF stationed at Ft Drum NY.  Unfortunately, I can add many many names to this list.  So I won't name them all, just keep special thoughts and prayers for all of them, in particular my best friends husband, SSgt Geoffrey Thompson, USAF, destination unknown.

THAT speaks volumes!

Cat--I think about you every day and pray that Clark and all his buddies come home soon and safe.

I have many friends in the reserves and on active duty but closest to home is my sister, CDR Maureen Steinhouse; assignment is classified.   :-X

Don't know him Ree or anyone in the Gulf...so far as I know anyway.

Anyway, Corporal Sean Munger, to mention him a third time, has a larger family than he knows.

He'll do okay. Our side knows how to take care of its own.

dear ree, again i thank god for kids like sean and all the others mentioned on this post!!!

fortunatly for linda and i our only son was given a medical discharge after returning from bosnia or he would surely be involved being the airborn/aviation little lifer that he was ( and still wishes to be).

i want to add a few names to this list. they are the kids of the girl i was {in love} with before i met my one and only!!!!!!!!

ssgt. chris wright
spec. sean wright
sgt. shannon wright- (chris's wife)

i don't want to say where they are because that innocent kind of info can be of value to our enemies. but they are all "in the game"

                                       love ya"all tim

Okay, here goes- please add my nephew, Michael Miller, my son's best friend-and my best friend's son- Jacob Garel, numerous classmates of my children, Tim Wright, Summer Wittingham, Deering Volkmann, Scott Kreisher, oh, so many more I can't name right now.
We were the swim team parents- we know all these kids well. We had planned a 10 yr reunion this summer- hope we can still have it, and that all can attend.
Ree, Catlind  and all of us who have family or friends going overseas, although we are grateful for what they are doing, we will also fear for their safety and send up prayers till they are back home,  safe again.

Another name that must be included is our very own Aussie, who has gone off to play in the sand.

May he be safe and pain free during his time away.  No CH's for Aussie while he's helping the world out.

PSC1 John Garman, my oldest son, his wife and my only grandson are stationed at Ramstein, Germany where many of the ground troops pass through and many of the injured are brought to hospital. Never know when he will be sent tdy in that area. I often light a green candle to mother earth for health and protecetion. Will light a bigger one tonight as I pray for all posted here and those not posted.

Defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil...
May God rebuke him we humbly pray.
And do you, Oh prince of the Heavenly Host

Thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil
spirits who prowl about the world
speaking the ruin of souls.    Amen

thanks for posting Maggie... Do you all know how many lurkers there are that dont post because they are intimidated by us all... You have no idea the impact that her note had... me a person that always thinks she is so invisible... Well I know I'm not now You all have been so supportive and I love you all.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart and the top of my soul. My angels are all around me the lights in my house are flickering like crazy.... weird huh... Us energy readers have a big time frequency issues,  when we are stressed. Ok before you think Im too weird... I better end this post... Just remember if it makes me feel better its a good thing...

Moving back to the top...

Just found out last night that my SO's cousin, Karol Dziadosz - who is in the Army, was called up and deployed to the Gulf recently (within the last few days).  We're all really scared for him.
Also, a childhood friend of mine, David Esteves - a marine.  Last I heard he was doing some sort of presidential duty in Wash.DC.  I'll have to call his sister and get the goods on his news.

Ree... I don't know what to say.  It sounded like a wonderful letter you received.  I'm just glad there are so many people out there care so much.

god bless america

Darren J. and  Tommy F. ........ Special prayers to Tommy for the strength to guide our troops with an angel in the front and behind and one perched on each shoulder offering the wisdoms of all that went before him. They are no longer kids.

"Regardless of how we feel about this war, we need to be responsive to and
protective of any soldiers who take physical or emotional hits, as well as
their loved ones sweating the operation from the home front. We all need to
understand that the scars of war disappear from the hearts and minds of
those who've either experienced them firsthand – or those who are their
nearest and dearest – only when taps is finally played."
