Title: Sorry
Post by RevDeFord on Feb 28th, 2003, 11:07am
Sorry I haven't been around much lately.  I have gotten to the point where I just don't look forward to anything in life and to be honest, am really struggling.  I still visit the boards almost every day, but I have been laying low because I really dont have much encouraging words to say to myself let alone anyone else.

I am burned out, depressed, stressed, and mean, and it doesn't seem like there is an end in sight.

So just letting you know I am still here, just laying low.  Thanks for your email Mark.

Hang in there Richard.  Hope you find that light at the end of the tunnel real soon.  I'm here to listen (read) if you want to get it off your chest.

Sorry richard I was asleep at the wheel.

Rev,

Why do you think you can only be here if you have encouraging words for others? You have been a great supporter of others ever since I've been here.  We want you here no matter what your mood is....that is what this board is designed for, to help and support others, and it sounds like you could use all of our thoughs and vibes right now.

I'm sorry you're in a bad place right now, but please let us help to pull yourself out of that place.  There have been quite a few posts lately saying one phrase over and over, and I'm going to repeat it again......this too shall pass.  This bad time will end.....please let us help you till it does.

This board is a family.....and you are a part of it.

Thinking of you,
Tracey

really, really brain dead today....just come shoot me... :-/ :-*

Hi Mark, I don't know if this will help you or not but it does me when I get to the place your at.
I Believe...

Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have
seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those
who have not seen and yet have believed.
(John 20:29)

I believe in angels, yet I cannot see,
the proof that angels exist...
I believe in God, yet I’ve never seen,
a physical God in our midst.

I believe in Jesus, as God’s only Son,
who died for the sake of our sin...
and I believe in the Spirit, who lives in me,
and guides me through the world I live in.

FAITH is the foundation of a godly life
as we believe what our eyes cannot see...
only our hearts can fully explain,
what Faith is to those who believe.

The beauty of Faith is like undying love
of a shepherd who cares for his sheep;
he guards and protects them with all that he has...
like our Faith; we guard it to keep.

Rev,

Listen up bro, and listen good.  You have friends here, no, you have a family here, that cares, and we are here to help you through the bad times just as much as we are here to laugh with you in the good times.

There is nothing like the powerful vibes and support that this place gives, and I mean nothing.  It is an awe inspiring thing the way this message board can lift us up and carry us through our rough travels.

Don't you dare lay low just because you are in need.  That's what we're here for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge Hugs for you

Cat

Richard--can I call you Tricky Dick?--anyway, chin up buddy. This will pass with time and the time passes most quickly with the support of others. You have MEGA support here! Look a little harder... do you see the light? Of course you do. Walk toward it and you will see every smiling face from this sight holding thier hand out to help.
Hey! It's FRIDAY!

Richard,

Why lay low when you are at the bottom, that is when you need us most. I would much rather you lay low when you are at your peak...maybe a note like this...

Hey guys, doing great!...Will lay low a while on the boards and go out and enjoy the world for a while!!

Here's to the day you get to write that. :)

hang in there

Hate to learn you're lying low. That was okay for awhile but it's time to come home to us and and add your lively posts to our little world. Your stuff helped keep it lively.

We need you as much as you need us.

See ya.....soon.

Hey, you Dick... I mean, hey you, Richard. Pick your brown-shirted, right-wing, facist ass up from the pits and get back to being the GOP spokesman before Charlie and I and all the rest of the liberals overrun this country. :-)

Thanks for all your encouragement guys.  It has been a really tough month.  My wife and I both work and have a 20 month old son.  My wife is hating her job and comes home crying every night - she is a school teacher and in a wierd situation where she gets no breaks or any help for her entire day.  I am working 50-60 hours a week and getting paid peanuts - nowhere near enough to support us on my salary alone.  The average salary for the area I work is $18,000 a year and I make just above that, where as I could go to a larger city and make $60,000 + for the same job.

She is determined she is going to stay home next year and it is up to me to find something that pays enough for her to stay home, yet in the area we are in that doesn't seem possible, and she is completely unwilling to relocate.

So I end up with this catch 22 where we fight every single night, and all the while I fight with myself because I cant provide for my family.  Couple that with the pain and the 50-60 hour overworked week, I am just REALLY getting fed up.

Thanks for listening.

Oh, and Ted, even if I were dead, hell would have to freeze over, and France would have to be a loyal friend before libs will ever make a drop of sense.

All I have to say is, Sharpton for Democratic Nomination.  Vote Dems, come on.    ;D
