Title: Prayers and good vibes needed ... Post by nancyc on Feb 26th, 2003, 12:02am for me and my coworkers at the addiction center in sc...we just got the word that half the center will be phased out and 56 nurses, docs and case managers will be out of work..pink slips going out by friday...i have several interviews at other hospitals in the next week..i hate to leave my job but feel even if i am not rifted, noone has any security there anymore..SC still does not recognize addiction as a disease, i guess...so they will phase us out completely soon..and i sure dont want to be transfered to their state mental facility if i am on that list...one thing I know though is when God closes one door, He always opens another one for you...thanks for your thoughts and prayers...i hate change and the people i work with are like family to me..so it makes this even harder...smiles,nancyc |

I also believe when God closes one door, he opens another and I also hate change. I was just informed yesterday that I am losing my part time job in 6 weeks. It was very upsetting to me because I need the extra 1000.00 a month to supplement my income and where else can you make that kind of money sitting in front of your pc at home in your pj's (medical billing). Then I was told we have a 50% chance of landing a much larger account so I am crossing my fingers too. Post by nancyc on Feb 26th, 2003, 6:58pm Thanks so much everyone...i went to have a stress test today and they could not do it because my veins were so clenched and they could not start an IV...got hit last nite.and took Imitrex injection...the first time in a long while...they wanted to do a heart cath but i told them i have an interview tomorrow and had to wait till next week to try to have the stress test done again...i really appreciate all the prayers...alot has been going on in my family (they have my son on high alert in national guard now) and now the job thing LOL.They say what doesnt kill you, makes you stronger ...but the job interview tomorrow is making $15,000. MORE a year...so keep the prayers going for me please..I am just grateful I have my grandson and family here with me..plus that I am an RN and the health field is searching for us nurses..BUT i too hate change...I know alot of folks on the mb are going thru rough times lately...know i think and pray for each of you....smiles, nancyc ps will get more details out about the southern gathering as soon as i check into some motels, etc here in Columbia... |

I told my dauther she had many blessings that week,and getting out of that job was one of them! She is an LPN she now has a job now that she make in 3 day what she did in 5.
