Title: Why we've been away... Post by Brassbear on Feb 3rd, 2003, 5:18pm Lot's of things happen in the course of a life, but the last few weeks have been kind of bad. Mary had to leave her job. He ex-boss developed some serious psycho-social problems. He got paranoid and thougt everybody work for him was trying to make him go out of business. He is in the process of going through a divorce. She is the same size as Mary, same color of hair and eyes and he was taking the divorce out on her. She has a new job that she likes and they like her. Two weeks ago Mary had an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound done. They found a mass on the uterus. They think it is a fibrotic cyst, but they are afraid it's cancer. Her PAP smear was negative. Tomorrow she goes for blood work, Wednesday she has a CT scan and Friday she goes to a surgeon. Her doctor wants all this done ASAP. All of this has made my CH take a back seat. The O2 doesn't work all the time and even when it does it will still leave me with a shadow. I've even tried uping the liter flow and staying on for a total of 15 minutes. Thankfully the imitrex works, it just takes time. I finally got that "ASAP" neuro appointment the doctor wanted me to have two weeks ago. I go Feb 27th. The good news is that I think I'm getting near the end of this cycle. The beast doesn't hit me at appointed times, just randomly, fewer symptoms and not as high a Kip level. Still, every time I think it's gone I get hit again. On top of that the medical staff that I work with doesn't really belive that I'm even having the CHs and it is making work there very rough. I went to apply for a different job today. Mary and I would greatly appreciate whatever energy, prayers, whatever you believe in sent in our direction. We've missed talking with you, but we've been a bit busy. Thanks guys. You are the coolest cats on the planet. Michael |

To me that is good news. As for Marie, remain optomistic. I have a very close friend going through the same thing and she is only 33. She's been through the whole test thing and it is definately fibroids. The surgeon has put off surgery for now since she has stopped hemmoraging.
