Title: The Missing Part#2
Post by sailpappy on Jan 28th, 2003, 10:01pm
;D :-/ :'( :'( :'( (this Grandparent stuff is under rated!)
With each question answered it looked less and less likely that Heaven was telling the truth, the only person they refused to call in was NeNe, I guess under the current school policy they can not call her in and question her, she has to come in by her own volition.
Heaven stuck to her story and I believed her all the way, I just knew she was being honest and circumstantial evidence was making her look foolish.  We finished up the school week on Friday, with Heaven still maintaining that this was the absolute truth, well today she was acting a little odd, she continued to pick at her brother and causing trouble with an attitude unlike any I had seen on her before, cocky, like she had gotten away with something, so I put her into time out in her bed for a while, I told her when I came back in she had better be ready to tell me the truth about what had happened with Trysten and while we were at it she should also reconsider her story about the assault, given the fact that a false report, intentionally made is illegal and punishable by jail time.
Well you guessed it, she cracked like an egg under the pressure, I explained that if the police investigated and found that she was lying, she and Big Mom might be going to jail, that opened her right up with a full confession, she swears that NeNe ask her to do it so she could get a new family and get away from her Mother---Ms. Space Cadet, she makes Buzz Lightyear look well grounded and sane.
Naples police let us withdraw the report with no problem and suggested we get her some more Mental help as soon as possible?  I don’t know how we are ever going to get past this stump, its because her mother has abandoned her here and she doesn’t feel like she is part of the Family, we want to adopt her but that takes big bucks, we have to have Misty’s parental rights overturned and that is going to cost, but each time she takes off or gets into more trouble it makes it that much less urgent.
Other than this, My son Bryan that had been released on Probation blew it and is now back in prison in Wisconsin, he can’t come back to Florida until he finishes all his probation for Wisconsin, then he has 4 months of county jail to do here!
Terri, is carrying one hell of a load and I don’t know how she hasn’t cracked under the load, but somehow she seems to be holding up, Amanda has a new Boy Friend that looks like a keeper, he is 22 years old and going to college for a degree in engineering!  He seems to be a very nice person and he is straight, doesn’t smoke anything, drinks an occasional beer and has goals in life, most of all he seems to just ADORE Amanda!
He says the cutest things to her, he sees way beyond her size, into her soul and he compliments her all the time. I think the biggest difference in him and the other guys she has dated is the maturity level and the true feelings that he expresses, he has never been in a long term relationship and he is tickled Pink with Amanda, he calls here to tell her when he is leaving to go to school, he calls all through the day to see how her day is going, he calls all through the night and they see each other about 4 to 5 nights out of the week.  Really the only problem is that he lives 30 miles away so it’s a nice jaunt to take her over there or pick here up which is only an occasional thing too!
Trysten is doing Great, I have both of their computers set up and he is learning twice as fast as her, she (Heaven) thought she knew more than he did, but much to our surprise he is quite adapt with the computer, he already knows how to change backgrounds, set the screen savers, change the fonts and how to call up the programs he wants to use, he has about 10 different games and he can load the CD and start the programs all by himself, he just needs to slow down on the shut down approach some.
I gave Trysten the computer I bought back from his Dad, before he got put back into jail, 800 mhz, 32X CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, 10 gig HD, Video out Card, network 10/100, 2-USB Plugs and a 4X Hub hookup and 56k modem running 98se.  Heaven has the computer Granny gave me, Compaq Presario 4.0 gig HD, 32X CD-ROM, 56k modem, 3D graphics card, 98se and a Lexmark Printer, 2-USB plugs.
Both excellent learning computers for children of any age, in fact most of us could use a system like these at any time!
Well I am doing OK I guess as far as the Headaches go, not a one since I went on the Oxy-Contin, but my Hep C and the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has me in the bed more than I’m out, I’m exhausted all the time, but still not giving in, as long as Terri Can handle it I am going to fight to stay here, pain in the rear or not!
         Love Ya All! Pappy

Pappy,
And I thought things were crazy at my house. Were you ever checked for sleep apnea? It can cause you to feel real old.

Pappy-
HOW OLD is Heaven? My, my, my, they sure grow up fast these days- and what a trial! I know you 2 don't need this- you need to garner your strength for the battles you're fighting, so I'm tossed...poor kids obviously need you, they surely deserve someone in their court, but I'm thinkin' corporal punishment here!!!
I'm totally impressed by the way you handled it...I think I would've gone into meltdown, myself- BUT- we always have the strength to take care of the problem at hand, don't we?
Where do kids get these ideas? TV? Rip it out of the wall, man!! iMAGINE, IF THEY EXPENDED THIS MUCH ENERGY, learning, growing, preparing for a future in society.....just what powerhouses they could become!
Thank God you & Terri are there- they are lucky to have you- good luck being the anchor around there- not easy? Possibly. Rewarding? YOU BET!!!
Hang tough- all of you, and hang together-I'm willing to bet, if they stick with you, they're gonna be okay!
Thanks for the eye opener- think I'll grill my grandson this weekend.....wonder what 5 yr-olds know.....?????
Cathi
