Title: A Visit With DeeJ Post by Bob P on Jan 16th, 2003, 10:14pm Took the day off and drove up to Palo Alto to see DeeJ today. I walke dinto the room and found his mom, Linda, but no DeeJ. Mom said he went for a walk. We hunted all over but couldn't find him. Turns out he snuck out onto the grounds to sneak a smoke. Bummer, it would have been great to meet you. I also found DJ smoking outside the hospital last night. I literally almost bumped into him in the courtyard as I was walking in - he looks great, huh? FYI - the nurses aren't safe. It appears that there are at least two of them that he is "chatting up". Of course, some of them are chatting him up as well! Chris |

DJ didn't want to gross out the people with his stapled head so he said he would meet us back in his room. Linda and I got our food and headed back to the 3rd floor room to eat. In the 3rd floor lobby sat DJ chatting with some blonde. He saw me coming and gave me that "keep on walking and act like you don't know me" glance. Guess he didn't want to be interrupted while he was working. SF - tried to stay as long as possible but didn't want to get hung up in the San Jose traffic heading back south. |
