After the California storm blew through California on Dec. 16th that left half my roof in my back-yard. The Insurance adjuster finally got here to check out my damage. The first thing he said was wow.........you had some damage didn't you? (duh)

I had piled up most of the shingles and put them in front of the house. After climbing around, taking measurements and also pictures...........I'm getting a new roof !!!!!!!!!!!!! yes yes yes!~~ I'm so happy something is working for me. thanks to you all for caring ....if I was wading around inside my house. Linda- Yessireebob! About time you have some good come your way.....now, about the liquid sunshine...didja tell the adjuster about the hot tub & A/C that blew away???..guess you COULD dry out in Oregon.....we had MORE sunshine, mild weather today- the moss is drying out! 8)
I suspect CA will always be warmer/drier than OR- this is a fluke....hmmmmm, ...think I'll move back............. ::)

Tell them that when the roof blew off it took off the A frame addition you just had put on as well and get a whole other house put on top ;)

How long til they get it done? If they give you any flack we'll send Slammy and Jonny your way to fix em up so they know not to mess with our Road Warrior!

Hi Linda...don't know the full story but guess 02 was not the best of years, glad you've got yr roof coming though and hope 03 brings happiness and loads a luck....hope you don't get any of Den's contractors!!!!

Here in UK flood alerts all over I am in the middle of 37 severe flood alerts, still it's now snowing so the rain will freeze and the cars will play dodgem.....at least yr cars okay..... ;) our house frequently gets hit when the roads ice up hope I keep my roof...!!!

cathi......did you mean yer house gets 'hit' literally......by cars ??? We got spared this past snow storm and barely spared by those nasty tornado's in Nov.....I've seen the damage to neighbors houses and it was unexplainable !! Wouldn't wanna add vehiclular 'home-hit-in-the-side' to the list either........stay dry ! Pam :)

Honey, you need a fence---no, a brick wall, well, maybe some barriers- around your place!!! Come to think of it, perhaps you'd like some remodeling done.....maybe you need to give them a target- put a bullseye on the exterior wall where you'd like an addition........ ;)

Linda- Tell me someone tarped your existing, ragged, remains of your roof- adjusters are supposed to mitigate damage as well, and if the rains are still coming......I'm sure you've got that under control- so I'll just hope the weather's good enough that those roofers from Chippendales can work without their shirts while they're there.......can I come watch?
So really glad the Merc is okay- we gotta date on Oct!

Cootie..we moved here in September..the only thing the neighbour said was...you wait till the roads are icy cars hit your house all the time...now they tell us..LOL so will let you know, maybe there'll be a hunk in it and he'll need the kiss of life... ::) always happy to help out in a crisis.. ;D

A merc...now if that'd been hit that'd been worse than the roof... ;)

Uh, thanks Den. I'm feeling so much better now!

As for getting a contractor out here fast, that remains to be seen. They're still swamped with damage worse than mine. They're not even answering their phones.
I wonder if the guy from the Village people, is available?

um, lil TS? I think it'd be a ...how do I say this and stay politically correct....straighter decision to hire Jonny to do your roof. Scenery would be just as good but the odds would be more in your favour, ok?

Gee I think ta hire onea the Village people fer yer roof you'd have to look in the retirement homes directory...Ozzy (Osborne) wouldn't be much help either cuz he's a lill stiff movein these days....prolly have better luck with Beavis and Butthead as a team workin. Pam ;D
