So when will we know where the 2003 convention is going to be?

Is it just the Board of Directors and Pres that votes? or do we all get to vote? Not that I'm pushing or anything :P

The Bylaws state that the Convention Committee decides and presents it to the BoD for approval. Since we've never really had a Convention Committee, in past years the BoD has picked it. Once it has been decided on, the proposer has been made the Chair of the Convention Committee for that year.

Things to consider:

Should be in an area that has not hosted before.
Should be easily accessible, public transportation, airport, etc.
Should have other attractions so people can make an extended vacation of it if they want.
Should be affordable.
Should be somewhere that you can get a good speaker to, so they don't have to travel too far.

I am planning on asking the doctor that TerryS is in clinical trials with to come and speak, as well as a few of the military docs that know about CH. The one clinical trial is in Syracuse, only an hour and half from the location proposed if that helps at all.

The rest of the info is in my proposal.

I guess it's confusing because there isn't a convention committee and we are all wondering what's going to happen.

I passed the gavel to Don on the 1st. This was one of the items I gave him that needed to be addressed. I'm sure he will be starting the serious discussion within the BoD shortly.
