Title: Computer wise people help! Post by Elaine on Dec 31st, 2002, 11:00am I thought I was going nuts. I type and my words are not spelled write, not because I can't spell. I thought my fingers were hitting the wrong key at times. Deveny and Buddy are having the same problem. I tried a wireless key board today that was worst. I even took my keys off and cleaned it but that doesn't help, you have to type real slow, does this mean a new key board? If so what would be a good keyboard? This is the thired key board in a year. |

Title: Re: Computer wise people help! Post by cerebus on Dec 31st, 2002, 11:24am Elaine, I would try a new keyboard before I considdered anything else. As usual, it could be a number of things but try the simplest thing first. As for what kind of keyboard?......just about any will do it really depends on what you want to do with it. I have a logitech internet model that I bought at walmart for $20 and it works just fine, complete with programable internet shortcuts and the like. If you really want ,you can go spend as much as a couple of hundred dollars to get an ergonomic version ,but, it is still subject to all the typical keyboard threats like pop spills etc. so there really is no point. good luck! Title: Re: Computer wise people help! Post by Opus on Dec 31st, 2002, 11:28am If you use windows then try booting in safe mode by using the boot disk. If that helps then the problem is in windows. Make sure you don't have any virus problems. Also you can try typing fast in a word program, if that works fine the then problem may be in your browser, ISP or modem. You can also go to in windows, start, control panel, system, device manager, click the + in front of keyboards, then click on the keyboard name and then click properties. This will tell if there is a problem. Any keyboard should be ok. It depends on what options you like. Opus :P |
