Title: Jou Guys!!!!! Post by Slammy on Dec 24th, 2002, 10:35pm Are amazing! I just answered the door.... and this humongous floral arrangement came into my house......as my family gathered for Christmas Eve dinner.... The Card: "Slammy, Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. From all of Clusterville!!" As tears filled my eyes.... my family realized, how much you all mean to me....and we all thank you.... timing was impeccable.... I don't know who's idea this was... ( I got a few), but I love you all... WOW! What a Christmas present! I guess I really didn't fully understand what I have..till now! My family thanks you all, and especially me from the bottom of my heart! side note: My mother's sister, who she was very close to, had been in a convalescent home for a while. She passed away this morning at 12:20am. my mother had always nagged at her for being habitually late... I'm sure that my Mom was there, complaining to Lou on what took her so long! We will be having a joint memorial for them on Saturday in Torrance, CA... at the Curch of the Nativity... it's appropriate that they are together for this Christmas... You all strengthen my heart during this time... it's with this joy that helps me during this Christmas time.... Thank you sooo much for your thoughts...I can't begin to tell you what this means to me and my family! Post by Ree on Dec 25th, 2002, 9:48am My belief teaches us that death is only the beggining of life for us... and what we do on Earth here helps us to gain our place in Heaven... The death of your Aunt should prove that this is so true... Your mom died to help your Auntie into Heaven because she was probably afraid... They are together now and THEY are feeling sad that WE are left here in this world of turmoil... They just wanted to spend Christmas with Jesus on his birthday that's all............. There is such a thin line between life and death... the coincedence that your Aunt died so close to your MOM is a most wonderful mystery that we will only know when we pass ourselves... This is what I believe... and I respect those that dont but feel sad about that... Life is so vast... it is just a working miracle every day... and I am proof of that. Years ago I had a near death experience and though I dont talk about my experience with the angel I encountered... It is real........... Happy Christmas Slammy and family... your MOM is making a home for you in Heaven... you can carry her in your pocket every day... she will hear your every wisper... She still exists. I can see them all now, my Dad, Clarks parents, your Mom and Aunt, Den's Mom, the whole lot of them up there enjoying a drink and looking down at us with love and wondering where on earth they went wrong with us all!!!!! But what a beautiful way to look at it though...you're right, your mom is there helping her sister fill out all the forms to make her transition easier. Moms are like that. ;) And, btw - if no one else is gonna tell ya, I will. It was Mast who got the flowers going. This little gal has done so much work behind the scenes here, getting stuff like this going, it's high time someone recognized all her efforts. She mailed us all the day after your mom passed and just went ahead and ordered the flowers on the rest of our behalfs (behalves?). She's done this before, too - for others of our family who have been grieving. Between her and Elaine, they're so on the ball when it comes to stuff life this. Our resident angels, those two. THANK YOU, MICHELLE!! p.s. good luck tomorrow, Slammy - feel us all there standing with you, giving you strength to get through the day. |
