wow Echo... I feel for ya.. but hang in there brother. Hormones can be a real kick in the ass if you are super-sensitive.
Its easier said than done.... always the case... but I'm sure she wants you around more than you think!!
A doc might be a good idea.

Echo- You are too kind, my friend! If I behaved the way you have described, I would fully expect Gil to plant the toes of his wingtips firmly...ummm...where the SUN doesn't shine! Not liking to use "female" issues as an excuse for anything(what about "male" issues?), but someone NEEDS to have hormone levels checked- STAT!

Is your wife on birth control pills? My wife was on birth control pills before we were married to help her stay regular with Aunt Flow, and it did something screwy with her......depressed all the time - mean. It got to the point where the whole family - her parents, me had to have an intervention. She went off those to another kind of pill and the problem went away.

Just an observation.

There are several different kinds of Birth Control pills.....it may be time to change to a different one. Different pills effect the hormones differently. This may very well be your answer.

RevDeFord has made a very good point....the birth control pill certainly made me a physco.....I felt completely different when I wasn't on it normal.....now we have 4 kids and no nookie......!!! ;D ;D

Wow Rev... astoundingly astute for a member of the opposite sex - er, not bashing men here but really, there is an issue of awareness when it comes to these things.
Those pills can be amazing but the side effects can vary greatly. Get her another prescription fast - You may just not have to go to work next weekend!

If it is hormone related as far as mid life stuff ...I pray for you.......ha-ah....but seriously it could be cuz of the drop in estrogen ect 'n will cause a person to go wacko....or apear to others that way.....you can feel happy, sad, mad, enraged, and t-totally pissed off freaked out all in the same hour plus the worse part is 'over amping on your reactions to everything !!! There true emotions and feelings that hit 'n people react of course to 'how they feel' so it can get out of hand when goin thru that. The feelings are true feelings to the person even tho it seems there WIGGIN out. There is new natural hormone theropy....there's also some other meds that help level some of the emotional mood swings out like Paxil 'ect'...Paxil works great on alot of people for the mood swings. But the weight gain can be the next problem if that bothers you. Good' luck......Pam
