Title: For those who participate -- 8 Shopping days Post by echo on Dec 13th, 2002, 11:44am left until Christmas. Men will normally wait until the last possible moment. Why? Because shopping Christmas Eve day gives us the customer service we need to acquire that unknown gift. Women shoppers are out of the way leaving the sales representatives to provide us with the personal shopper assistance we need to decide what the heck to buy. Waiting till the last minute also provides a smaller selection to choose from, thus making it easier to decide. I'm torn with the decision of wheather to buy the little bride a 102 or 79 piece socket set. The belt sander looks nice also. Could use a new garbage disposal. A new set of wooden spoons will work as a stocking stuffer along with a mag lite flashlite. Other ideas welcome. Just kidding! I buy shinny stuff mounted on gold. |

Title: Re: For those who participate -- 11 Shopping days Post by Mr.Happy on Dec 13th, 2002, 1:28pm Considering your previous posts on the recent maniacal, homicidal behavior of the "Widder Echo", perhaps you might want to consider the Pocket Hive Not only is it a gift that _Keeps on Giving_, it may also take some of the Sting out of her criticisms. Title: Re: For those who participate -- 11 Shopping days Post by domm on Dec 13th, 2002, 7:31pm After 30 years of marriage, 30 years of giving inappropriate gifts, 30 years of wrong size, or size, or color, or whatever, she buys what I am giving her. The perfect solution. ;D No shopping on my part, she gets what she wants. Of course, I never learn, I always work hard to find one special gift that I KNOW she will love and won't expect. So far, I've been able to pull it off, but I'm having a hard time this year. Ladies, I need some suggestions........ sign me - a hopelessly stupid man. |

Title: Re: For those who participate -- 11 Shopping days Post by BobG on Dec 14th, 2002, 4:33am Already got the shopping done. She got a cruise to Alaska. I got a '27 full fendered pro-street T roadster (some assembly required, battery not included). She gets hers next July. I get mine next month. Mine costs exactly $23,473 more than hers. Ha ha, I win. ;D |

Title: Re: For those who participate -- 11 Shopping days Post by OneEyeBlind on Dec 14th, 2002, 7:26am Wow, a trip to Alaska. Now that is a nice gift. Was yours more expensive cause you only bought her a one way ticket ? LOL. Just kidding !!! |
||
Title: Re: For those who participate -- 11 Shopping days Post by BobG on Dec 14th, 2002, 7:45am LOL Nope, it's a round trip ticket. And I get to go too :D It's what she asked for. Remember what your momma used to say. "Be careful what you ask for. You might just get it." Since she is letting me go with her I might let her drive my roadster after it's put together. |
