Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by brain_cramps on Dec 9th, 2002, 9:43am would love to see RAIDERS and 49ers, but if I had to bet, I think you got it right. Hopefully no bullshit call this year to kill the Raiders |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by echo on Dec 9th, 2002, 9:47am Chiefs over the Bucks. Hey -- It could happen! (I'll be happy to see Priest Holmes get the record when he has his 27th rushing TD) |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by Ueli on Dec 9th, 2002, 10:07am Is football played with a superball? Is that the name of this ovoid thingie you can occasionally see during the brawl? |
||
Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by 9erfan on Dec 9th, 2002, 12:41pm If I had to say right now, I would pick Tampa Bay and the Raiders (it kills me to say that!). Hate the Raiders with a passion >:( >:( >:(. But the way my Niners have been playing, I don't see them making it past the 1st round...especially if we have to go to Green Bay! UGH! |
||
Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by BobG on Dec 9th, 2002, 1:11pm Superbawl again already? Didn't they just do that about a year ago? Damn it's getting old. Here comes 86 Bazillion commercials about how to separate the fans from their buck$. ;) |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by Roxy on Dec 9th, 2002, 1:38pm oh gee...maybe the Cowboys or Texans, ya think! lol (that is sarcasm by the way) |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by SommelierCH on Dec 9th, 2002, 10:04pm As a Kansas City Chiefs season ticket holder (Wolfpack endzone) with my Dad, starting at the old Municiple Stadium before Arrowhead was built (was at the longest game on Christmas day, double overtime, with Yurprimian kicking the field goal for the Dolphins) for years, I’m so encouraged by the last 2 weeks that I will pick—Chiefs and Bucks. David J. |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by SommelierCH on Dec 9th, 2002, 11:31pm Hey Echo, Just saw that you’re from KC. How the hell’s it going back there. Which side of the line are you on. I bet you’re one of them uppity rich Shawnee Missioners. I sure miss the spring and the fall (only!). I remember a summer heat wave, when it didn’t get below 95 deg. at night for 15 nights. I was living on the Plaza by Brushcreek, during the 1,000 year flood in 1977, rained for 3 days straight, totally soaking the ground, then dropped 16 inches one night. Look me up if you get out this way. David J. |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by cerebus on Dec 10th, 2002, 12:09am as a DIE HARD Chiefs fan I simply have to say..... KC Is FAR from out of it. Their stats do not reflect thier place in their division. Regardless of playoff ins and outs, they are to be considdered very dangerous to all of the AFC WEST. the next three weeks will determine the winner of the toughest division in football, and in the LEAST Marshall Faulk, and LaDamianson Tomlinson can sit down and watch PRIEST HOLMES (prediction: Holmes finishes with 30 all prupose Tds) Shatter the Record book, Playoffs or not. Oakland has a tough schedule left before they are in, no one can argue that. Fact: if KC wins all three of their next three games they will finish at 10-6 and possibly win the Division with an Oakland loss, a wild card spot at minimum. AFC: is still wide open.. NFC : Tampa Bay will Lose in the SuperBowl to the AFC if anyone disagrees this IS debateable. Cerebus |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by Charlie on Dec 10th, 2002, 4:16am We don't care here in Western New York. With the Bills, our season ends quickly :-/ Ueli; Over here you can throw and just about destroy our footballs. If you can't toss it, bat it, or catch it, we don't consider it a real game. ;D Charlie |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by Hound_Dogg on Dec 10th, 2002, 7:08am It's gonna be the Philadelphia Eagles against whatever sorry AFC team has the displeasure to oppose them. Cmon guys Tampa Bay? We've only destroyed Tampa every chance we got. I love the way Philadelphia never gets any respect. We're 9 and 0 against the NFC. We've destroyed Tampa in the game this year and in the Play-offs the last 2 years. McNabb will be back by the last game, in time for the play-offs. And no-one picked them for the Super-Bowl. The only team I'm worried about is Green Bay. Tampa'a got no offense, and we can beat up anyone with our 3rd string Q.B. PS-I'm taking any and all Tampa against Philadelphia bets. |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by domm on Dec 22nd, 2002, 10:13pm based on the ridiculous picks and comments I've read above, Indianapolis is gonna win it all GO COLTS !!!!! |
||
Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by Hound_Dogg on Dec 23rd, 2002, 11:22am I gotta admit...Indy seems to torment the Eagles. But if they play the way they did yesterday, they couldn't beat the YMCA Senior League. ;D |
||
Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by domm on Dec 24th, 2002, 11:35am OK - now that the Steel boys won last night, they have to go thru Oakland to get there. That (AFC Championship) should be a great game..... probably better than the SB itself. In Pittsburgh - Steelers by a TD. |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by tommyD on Dec 30th, 2002, 8:43am STEELERS! Well, maybe. If they're hot. The Steelers have a lot of talent...if they are healthy and hungry, they could go all they way. Or they could play like they did yesterday when the Balti-birds nearly beat them at home. And I must agree...the Eagles are tough. I'm going to say it will be a team from Pennsylvania. Tampa Bay? Steelers embarassed them couple weeks ago. The Bucs can, and will have to, play better than that. -tommyD Next week, Browns come to Pittsburgh. Always a classic... |

Title: Re: Picks for superbowl Post by oringkid on Dec 30th, 2002, 3:42pm This is what football is to me..... Really nice butts The Superbowl is.... Time for a party! Who I want to win.... The Seattle Seahawks, cuz they never seem to get there! I like the underdawgs! I am the luckiest woman in the world, cuz my husband is not a sports fan! LOL Actually, I don't really pay any attention until the last few play-offs, then I ask who is in the running. I then watch the last coupla games and pick the underdawg, and have a party and watch. Typical girl huh? So, who is the underdawg in the running this year? I hate to see the same damn team win over and over again. I love to see an upset! But boy, do I like those nice tight shiny butts.... LOL! Having only brothers as siblings, I know some teams and I know some names.... but I think that I saw one of my favorite guys (don't ask me his name or team!) doing the announcing (or whatever they call it) this year! This guy could leap and twirl and run like the wind! (I'd have to ask my brother who he is again.... used to know his name... but he would catch the ball and make the touchdowns... small, nice looking black guy with ears that stick out) Sherry |
