I'm curious about which side people experience their pain on. For myself, my CHs can show up on either side from one cycle to the other, and I haven't been able to see a pattern.

I was chronic for many years, and at that time the pain could come from either side from headache to headache. There was even a period where my normal CH would be first one side, then the other before subsiding. Only once in, 15 years or so, did I experience both sides at the same time, which was terrifying and I couldn't imagine going through again.

So I am intrested in hearing about what others experience....left, right or both?

Sumbody did a 'similar' survey on this while back.......suppose maybe it could be found goin thru the archives section......not positive how ta go bout that......

Hey daver.
I'm a lefty and have been for 29 years. I was just telling my wife the other day that i wish i would change side just for something different.
Oh by the way cootie, I'm sure that there are a few new people that have joined the site since the last time this question was asked and they may want to responed.

I believe it was Celebus that did the survey. We never did get the results posted. Perhaps he is still adding them up cause he did the survey within the last month. Anyways, hope that helps ya to find what you are looking for.

By the way ... I get my clusters on the left and I am right handed. Same answer as before, nothing's changed.

Bradley's have been on the right but he's had them swtich when they first started years ago. BTW....jus thought that maybe lookin up the survey done while back in archives would be 'helpful' for the info....am sure there are alot of new people that would want to add to it to.....cool !! (past 'n present)

I'm left-oriented and do everything but write left-handed. I'm somewhat ambidexterous but my CH was always on the left.

I'm a lefty too,always.Apparently the side of the brain and body that has to do with emotions.Not too sure what to do with that info though.

Left handed and all CH attacks have been on the left side.

right-handed.

First 5yrs - left side
Last 15yrs - right side

Myself, I don't think there is any relationship. (I didn't use to be left-handed LOL)

I was strickly right sided untill a couple of years ago.

Now my cycle starts on the left and the final punch of the cycle will be on my right.
When this first happened I hated Realy! Hated! the left side headache. It was pain on the wrong side. I did not know how to deal with it.
It is strange thow. The cluster pain on my left side is not as orginized as when I get hit on the right.
My right side is very intence behind my eye while when I get hit on the left it seems to be more stabing just to the left of my eye near my temple.
Any whoooo.....
Ive gotten my verap uped to 240 X 3 a day with Lihium 300 X 2
Seems to be doing the trick.

I get hit on the left side, but I'm right handed. I don't know if I could handle it if the beast changed sides. Please don't ever let that happen!!

hi daver, i'm right handed but leftsided! this is only my second episode and the first was left too. my first time started march 16th 1985 and ended in oct 1992. funny that i can remember the exact day they came but not when they went. they came back july 4th 2001 and god i hope, i hope!
i'm with you ann, i don't know what i would do if they changed sides
