Ok. No headache thing. However....Hubby on business trip to Florida (the bastard)......anyway............Long Island hit with 8 inches...........Kimmy all alone wit the kiddies........LOL, takin one kid to sleep over. Everything is cool. I'm backin the truck outa the driveway.............neighbors have visitor that parks RIGHT Behind me! Oooops. uh-oh ??? We only "tapped" em, but i think they got a slight dent (LOL!). Shit. What should I do? should I go over there and tellem? Why would someone park the friggin car on a huge hill directly BEHIND my BIG truck?

Kimmy freakin out! :o

JHC! When the HELL i'm gettin that MG and body image improvement surgery and gettin the HELL outa here!!!!! :D

This is only the 2nd time I've ever heard that Jesus middle initial is H (I first heard it from Catlind, assuming JHC = Jesus H Christ, of course).
Am I right? ;D

At this moment I cannot accurately recall to mind Jesus's middle name :D The only reason I say JHC! (followed by other expletives) is cuz, well mom used to say that too ;D So.......................JHC!!!!!!!!!!!Will sumbuddy help me out! Sooner or later the neighbor is gonna come out.............it's REALLY jes a lil dent........................JHC! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! :o Oh God.

In my opinion, you're obligated to fess up, otherwise I guess it is a 'hit and run'. Of course I don't know the whole situation and it may have been 'dumb' of them to park there, but that's for insurance companies to decide. If it comes down to it, you may be better off in the long-run compensating them without going thru the insurance company if it's only a wee ding (depends on your insurance situation)... however body shop repairs are expensive.

Ok. So we ALL took a walk and had a peek at the dreaded "dent". Oh. My. God.!!!!!!!!!!! I had a high-powered flash light that I was shinging everywhere except their CAR - LOL!!!! Just Figures hubby is out of town.............(Mr. Big :D)......anyway, thank GAWD it wasn't bad, and the neighbors were nice. After all they were BUTT HOLELS for parking there.............. :D

Kim is not in jail :D Thank JHC!!!!!!!! ;)

Kim..you crack me up!!! So you dented the big dumby's car...big deal! LMAO..did he/she threaten to beat you up? You got to remember that you're a role model for your kids...show them the right thing to do. Fess up and live with the consequences. Glad to know the neighbours were nice about it!

Always a good feelin ta be honest I 'spose ....but I failed to be honest when I hada runaway cart at Wallyworld with jus my prized watermellon left in it.....was arragenin stuff in my trunk and this lot is somewhat of a hill at one end.....didn't realize it took off like it did but it went a long long ways till the cart whammed into a new car !!! It was movein too.... I didn't know what ta do.....no one was around and I park a mile away so no one dents 'my' new sports car (as was this other car's drivers plan also, but downhill !!!) I hung out a bit then panic'd and left....didn't damage the car but it had a teeny mark. I felt soooooo dam guilty..................bad bad cootie.............. :o

Cootie... I say the owner of the car ya creamed should take the store to court for such a poorly designed parking lot. The neglect that the store showed for the public safety in building the parking lot with such a decline should be considered, and the penalties severe.

DRK.....Um.....it was a brand new Lexus my runn away cart with melon hit.....ahhhhhh the horror......I did really feel bad !!!!! Hardly a mark but it did make a lill spot on the door hinge area. Yeah the parkin lot sucks......it's a grade bad nuff where they should have brakes on the carts ! Figur'd since it's private property and all it'd be an ordeal with findin out who's car it was and da FUZZ 'n me get terrorized by the owner. So I was a coward and fled.....stuck 'round long nuff tho with all due respects....looked the car over so it didn't really qualify as 'hit and don't give a shit run'......I did go fetch my cart and recapture da run away melon................

I agree.....that's prolly why I only felt bad cuz " I" did it.....all I know is I don't park at the lower end of that lot myself ta get the same......cuz I dont' want no melons near my car but my own.....ha-ha-ha-ha...... ;D

The thing is... if your melon wasn't in the cart, and it took off across the parking lot, it wouldn't have been your fault... I don't see where it'd be different that you hadn't taken the melon out yet... I think they can only hold you responsible if out of your own actions or neglect, the accident was caused, but it sounds to me as though it was the store's action of building an unleveled parking lot, and not having carts with sufficient resistence in the wheels to keep it from rolling down the decline they left. It's a clear case of neglect on the part of the store that created the conditions that resulted in the accident.

There's a few other stores with similar screwy design out here and I had bouts with them all......K-mart level'd there lot purday good. This one store that sells feed and garden stuff ect has a sloped lot and stupid short slope off there walk way with a big raised crack smack dab in the middle Had a very heavy cart load with grain bags ect practically drag me down the walk way slope then flip'd over into the air totally upside down onto my 'stuff' like a cage and knocked me on my ass ! Dam was I pissed off......no one wants ta help ya either !! I should write a book.....ha-ha-ha...................
