Title: And yet another question........... Post by Donna on Dec 1st, 2002, 8:03pm Why do some people go into lengthy remissions? What causes them and why do they start again after years go by? Wish we had an answer to just one of our many questions. |

Title: Re: And yet another question........... Post by OneEyeBlind on Dec 1st, 2002, 9:52pm I am convinced that my cycle was started because of taking Paxil which changes the level of serotonin. I only took it for approx a month and quit cold turkey (which I don't think you are suppose to do). But I am hoping against hope that if that is what caused it, and I never, ever, ever again take a serotonin drug or go through menopause (menopause causes a reduced serotonin level) I will be safe from the beast !!! I am also staying away from MSG, which has always made me sleepy anyway, just to be on the safe side. And I will be reading every label of anything I put in my body from now on !!!!!!! Pain free for now and planning on staying that way !!!!! |

Title: Re: And yet another question........... Post by BobG on Dec 2nd, 2002, 7:15pm During the first 3 months of 1998 I had what was probably my worst cycle yet. I found this web site shortly after DJ started it. I joined in and haven't had a cycle since. Thanks DJ. |

Title: Re: And yet another question........... Post by Jabeen on Dec 2nd, 2002, 9:10pm I am assuming yours was a rhetorical question? But for what its worth-Mine didn't start for 45 years-went away for 5 and came back?? Could menopause have been a factor? With the first episode at 45, could be?? But then gone for 5 years after that? I would love answers in my lifetime! :) :) :) |
