First off its is 2:30 am here and it was so nice to know that I had here to go..

Back to the Drs and my endless Meds questions the last couple of days (thanks for the help)

Well it pays to be a royal pain! And thanks to info here and at OUCH and all of the tid bits (sleeping recliner etc) Ive seen slight improvements over the past two days.

My Dr agreed (as many prednisone postings had earlier stated to others) that my dose was low, so he is sending a nurse to my house with an IV dose tomorrow (Cant drive right ) then uping me from my now tappered at 30 mg back up to 60 mg and Ive bought myself 7 more days of Varapamil before Lithium is revisited. And thanks to web sites this site has brough me to I found a case study that supports upping my dosage of Topmax which I will begin tomorrow.

Thank you all SO SO MUCH! I am still in pain, but now I fell that I have some control! I am a much happier person than I was 3 days ago when I found you all.

Here's to hoping it all ends for us all soon

And Im off to try the heat on my neck.... Thanks CHUFFY! I'll let you know how it works. My neck always did seem like muscle spasm and my temple a headache!

RE: Recliner

My dad had heart and circulation problems, and the Dr. told him to sleep with his head and heart higher than the lower part of his body. They make a foam wedge that spreads across the bed and elevates the torso. I think you can find these at any Medical Supply store. Never thought of it before but maybe this would keep the blood from pooling in the head while sleeping, taking off some of the pressure. If the recliner helps, try this and maybe you can sleep in your own bed.

Docs are idiots... Can't depend on them to even treat a cold. Good luck!
