Title: OK, "WHAT The........?"
Post by RevDeFord on Nov 24th, 2002, 6:29pm
;D

Ok you jerkazoids.  I go away for one weekend to Branson to have a good ol' Country Christmas good time with my 17 month old and my wife, and I come back in here and all heck has broke loose.  We have posts about Don being elected president of OUCH.  All I gotsta say is, "WHAT The.........?"   ;D

Then I see posts by alot of newbies, which is sad - although I am glad you are here, I hate that you have to be.  There is at least one newbie that is displaying signs of meegraines, but I guess that for a weekend, only one coming in with meegraines is a good thing.

Oh well, to all, hope you have had a great weekend.  I am exhausted and it is only going to get worse.  I have 14 straight evenings with rehearsals for a Community Center program I am in, so no rest for the weary.

Who said going on vacation made you feel relaxed. ;D

Hi there

I was the newbee with the migraine, but I have seen the nuero and I have had migraines for 16 years and now this is a CH!! Until this site I didn't know and wasn't made aware by the nuero (time to seek a CH one) that there was a vast difference in the two conditions. But anyway hello!

And yes - my dr said that unfortunately over the last month they have seen a sharp increase in CH cases that they are blaming on a virus. Now, this is the first year that I got a flu vaccine and he blew off that theory...but isn't it a little strange that their patient load increased just weeks after the vaccination process began?  Just my thought.

But anyway, just a hello and a thank you. The drs just dump this diagnosis in my lap tell me to be patient, give me disability forms for work and leave me to myself. This weekend I was in a bit of dispair and confusion then I found this site. Know what they say Knowledge is power!

I do know there are alot more people complaining about HA's this season and goin to the doc's but think they are jus that and sinus and flu related.....??

Well maybe it is a viral thing that initializes the CH WHO kknows for sure, but, I CAN tell ya that I haven't had a flu shot in over 5 years since I worked in the nursing home, so my guess is that THAT at least is a longshot.
However.....viruses have been known to cause all kinds of (loosely used) "Rare" conditions, I believe that those are mostly auto-immune problems like Rheumatiod Arthritis etc.

Curious though......

Could be flu, coul'd be flu shots, yet again...

The firm that supplies my oxygen told me this was the cluster season. Apparantly they get lots of requests for O2 for clusterheads, this time of year. And they can tell it is for clusters,  because it is the special valve and the large array of bottles they have to send.

Turns out they know more about custers than your common or garden US neuro. Ah well...
