Title: Re: Help -new and scared: Fist time with CHs Post by Melissa11-8 on Nov 23rd, 2002, 1:12pm Yes- I was diagnosed last Thursday (day 14 of my migraine that the nuerologist now classified as a cluster headache cycle) I have downloaded clinical info on them and will read it when I can focus. I am ao thankful to have some where to go.17 days straight with pain and I can't take it much more, Now Im seing from reading that this probably will revisit me time and time again! I had had Epstein Barr Virus in High School (22 yrs ago) and they swear this is unrealeated but I was sick over a year ago then. Dr. says this bought is usually 4 to 6 weeks, they have me on Topamax 2x day, verapamil 4x day, prednisone and pain meds. My vision and balance is shot and I am out of work for who knows how long. I am trying to get my in laws, and husband to understand all this (my mother suffers from migraines so they have an idea but they are even very conserned). Its just very frustraiting not to be able to even cook a meal cause the pain is so bad! I guess it has to get better! I will look into this site much closer after I sleep today! THanks so much |

Title: Re: Help -new and scared: Fist time with CHs Post by domm on Nov 23rd, 2002, 2:45pm Melissa - get to a neurologist. There is a list of recommended docs over on the OUCH website (button on the left). Your overlapping conditions are confusing to me and I don't have a clue what to tell you. Sorry you are in pain. Good luck in finding the right set of meds that work for you. domm |

Title: Re: Help -new and scared: Fist time with CHs Post by Charlie on Nov 24th, 2002, 2:35am Welcome Melissa and if you have clusters, you've found a good place for some help. One very good indication of clusters is that they wake you out of a sound sleep. If this is the case, you're welcome here and I hope you will stick around and contribute. Chalie |
