Blake is getting the crap kicked out of him right now.  This has been going on since August.   :'(  The strange thing is that it's mostly during the day.

I've managed to get him an appointment with a new neuro.....we'll see ???   He may not know anything more than we do but at least maybe I can get him to write some different scripts.  I know one thing for sure....he's GOT to get off the prednisone....it's been way to long.

Hi Mark.  Glad to hear the good news.  Hopefully you never get CH again.

As for me, my current cycle started in September 2001 (yup, it's been over a year  ::) ).  But, I think it is finally ending.  Last CH was about 3 weeks ago, but I'm still getting shadows  :-/ ???.

My cycle is peaking (I hope). The Big One always 2 hours after going to sleep, a Kip 5 late afternoon every other day and Kip 2-3 shadows most of the rest of the time (which seem to be helped by alternating aspirin and ibuprofen, which I know is bullcrap).

Jonny,

Sorry to hear about what you’re going through, shit, when it rains it pours. Just wondering if you can do a shot of Jack Daniels once in a while to help out? Or is that just a death sentence? Take care King, I’m praying for you.

Pace,
David J.

No problem Jonny.  You guys are a lifeline.  Thanks for supporting, it means alot!  There is no way I can leave this place, after experiencing the torment of CH.  Cycle or no cycle, I'm here.  This board has made a big difference in lives (Thanks DJ!), but there is much more work to be done.

Well, I had been painfree since the first week of Octoberish, and just finished a short, weak battle with the beast 20 or so min. ago....Oxygen is my best friend, thank any and every deity or devil or whatever else you may or may not believe in for the O2!!!

And especially Jonny, for making it right to use, and teaching me how to use it properly so it works.

Beast wasn't supposed to show up again until T-giving, guess his invititation got lost in the mail and he decided to set his own date to come to dinner.  Here's hoping it was just a breakthrough CH or something else, like a reaction to the norvasc or something.   Puleeeeeeze let it be one of those things.

I can't and won't leave this board, it saved my life and there's a host of people here whom I love dearly as my own family :)

Geez, Slammy where are you?  I'm doing that rambling thing again....

Can never count on some brothers can ya ;)  :-*

Yes ... I've just done my 7th format in as many weeks from a backdoor worm and an IRC trojan.  Have had several infected emails....the trojan is a smart virus, I found the files, went to norton to find out how to manually remove it, and when I went back the files had managed to rename and relocate, couldn't find the stuff that had been where it was and in the end had to submit to format.

Everyone keep their virus protection up to date!

Into month 6 of nightly attacks. Longest cycle ever but pain level manageable. Need to be careful not to overdo imitrex, bad things happen when I over-med (get 5-6 one after another). O2 doesn't work for me so I do the toilet seat rock, no kidding. ;D

HELL YEAH CHRIS!!   ;D  Happy to hear that!  I know you were suffering for awhile.  I'm glad to hear that so many others are doing well at this point in time.  Here's wishing that it stays that way for you so you can have pain-free holidays!

I, myself am not doing well at all.  I know I'm a broken record but last pain-free day was 2nd week of February, 2001.   Currently, I'm 10-minutes pain-free  :-[.

If I EVER get a permanent job (still waiting to hear on my last interview) with medical benefits again, I will be getting oxygen, verapamil, and lithium per the advice of Jonny and so many others.
Thank God for this board and everyone on it because it keeps me hopeful!  :)

(sigh)..pain free....what is that?  Nice to hear some know what it is...when can I learn?

The dance with the beast continues on here, never ending. More than eight times a day does he plunge his sword into my head, trying to rip out my eye. Each time leaving me banging my head into any wall thats there, screaming, gripping my head, begging for mercy. Lurking when the beat slows, readying himself for his next chance to win, to beat me.  Leaving me with feelings of exhaustion, helplessness, emptiness.... experiencing the depths of hell.

Pain free? Only in my dreams....(sigh)

Jill

I on the other hand have been in cycle since June. And the last two months have been the worst. There is still no sign of remission.  :( :(
I called my neuro yesterday to up the lithium, but he wasn't present so he would call me back today.... I'm hoping that works.
But someday I will WIN!!! Just like you guy's.

Thought it prudent to wait and see how the election was going before casting my "One man, One vote".
I'll be kneeling here banging my head on the Wailing Wall throughout the rest of the festive Holiday Season. Feel free to join me in a prayer of your own..........

Congrats to those of you who are PF; now you can easily sneer at mere trivialities like the flu, facial burns and "High Stool".

After a hitch here in little West Virginny, it's amazing how _Relatively Adjusted_ one's measurement of pain becomes.

Head pain free since November 4.  However my chest is what is concerning me now.  And I need my knee replaced and my hunting expedition Saturday has reinflamed that.  Wouldn't it have been something if I had a heart attack in the woods last Saturday.

You were lucky, RevDeFord:

That's exactly what happened to a member of our little "Deer Hunting Expedition" several years back. He didn't have much of a chance. The doctor said his odds of survival would have been a lot better if we hadn't _Gutted Him_ first.

You learn a lot from experience, eh?

Fantastic news from all of you who are pain free!!!!  ;D

I'm in The 16th week of my cycle, ( which usually lasts 12 weeks. What's up with that?), having kip 3-4 shadows 2 or 3 times a day.  Thank God for Verapamil though.  It seems to be keeping the beast at bay.

Hope everybody has a GREAT Thanksgiving and PFNAD!!!

For all those who are still suffering... hang in there.  I know it is all-too-easy for me to say such a thing since I've been getting a bit of relief and I may not suffer as badly as some of you do.  And I know it's not always easy to 'hang in there' during a cycle.  During this 14 month cycle I thought I was bad-fucked forever, never to return to PFD&N.  It was seeming rather hopeless at times, so I can empathize with those who are suffering.  Usually my cycles lasted for 6 months, so when this most recent cycle reached the 8 month mark I was freaking (right Mastifflvr28?).  By the time September rolled around I fit the definition of chronic.  So it is possible to go chronic, but then experience pain free days.

I have no clue why this cycle lasted 14 months  ???
I have no clue why it seems to be ending now  ???
I have no clue why shadows have persisted for so long after the last CH  ???
Since my cycles usually started in October or November, I now have no clue when my next cycle will start  ???

But it is possible to return from 'chronic'.

Seems to need a little adjusting.  Mr Happy if I see you hunting at my place I may just have to shoot first then point out the no hunt sighns..Your more than welcome to come in for a potent cup of coffee though......................................................... .................As for me in cycle 6-8 per night and morn feel pretty good most of the days though. Feel  even better seeing so many of you feelin good and knowing that there is most likely a clearing ahead on the road. been at it a couple months now. What allways amazes me when they finally drift away is how little of the pain "I" remember and the fact that we really can exist with only a few hours sleep.  Heres  hopes for all of us in country, to join you PFers soon. Just gotta practice a little more and we'll be with you.
