Calling all California Cluster Headache sufferers and Suporters to a meeting where we will organize a group that will, as soon as possible apply for and if granted, become the first State Chapter of OUCH. The purpose for a California Chapter is mainly to provide a more personal forum at State and Local level and to increase the individual sufferers / supporters chances to meet and spend time with others in the same or similar situation.

An E-Mail with more detailed information will be sent out. If any of you Californians have blocked you E-Mail address and/or your "Where do we live" post, please let us know (you can send a personal message to Marty) and we will make sure that you recieve the information.

We will meet at El Toritos restaurant, located at 770 South Seaward in Ventura CA 93005. Telephone number to the restaurant is (805)648-5219.

The time for the meeting is 1:00 PM (13:00 hours) on Sunday, December 8, 2002.

Please respond to Marty: ClusterH@hotmail.com, if you want to attend (also let us know if you are bringing anyone else with you - that way we can plan accordingly based on the number of people that will attend).

Marty,

Sure I will be there... sounds like fun, and Mexican cuisine and margarita's are my favorite foods.

I haven't been to clusterheadaches.com in a while since I have been mostly pain free for two years (a dozen or so Kip scale 4-5 attacks recently though) and having four little kids and a disabled wife... I don't have too much free time.

I met Bob P. and Sara last year and I would enjoy meeting everyone else who attends. I'll see you Sunday Dec 8th. Ventura is about 30 miles up the road from Simi Valley. I was there last year for jury duty and passed through a few times for work in Goleta.

Hi Rick..

Ventura is just north of LA and south of Santa Barbara. When will you be in CA?

Any chance to meet in Central CA (or Northern) at some later date? Ventura is quite a ride about 300 miles each way).

Thanks Marty, I looked it up actually. I'm planning to move out there within the next year. Where exactly I am not yet sure, but most likely within the Los Angeles area along the coast.

SFChris..

300 miles is a long drive. I am driving from San Diego and that is not as far as SF, (might take the Am Track) but it is very important to me that we get this started.

I have recieved good response from people in and around the Bay Area, so of course, we will have to schedule a meeting there later on (guess I will have to fly :-/)
