My choice was in part predicated on the politics surrounding the Catholic church. And I did not put it down. Just mentioned that it was one of the reasons that I questioned the idea of the Bibles "God". I don't post that all the praying and putting it in Gods hands and God's plan stuff offends me. It is just your (group sense, not you personally) way. Catholicism has always been controversially embroiled in politics and many, not just me, find that seemingly inappropriate for its stated purpose. I don't think what I said was offensive, just my opinion. Sherry Gee, seems like no matter what I say, someone takes offense. I really don't think I belong here sometimes. |

Actually all I will say is that my favourite quote of all time comes from the bottom of Elaine's emails... "I'd rather live my life as if there IS a God and die to find out there isn't one, than to live my life as if there IS no God and die to find out there IS...." That just shakes me to my soul everytime I read it. But...it's completely a personal choice and we shouldn't judge each other based on our own personal beliefs. I can understand Linda's point, Sherry's point, Ted's point, Charlie's point. Of course, I'M the only one who's actually RIGHT, but... :) |
