Title: Re: Married.......with CHs Post by don on Nov 4th, 2002, 8:00pm My spouse, as a supporter, knows that the best response while i'm under attack is no response at all. A simple "how are you doing" after the attack means the world to me as a sufferer. She is an RN and I know it takes all the strength she can muster to leave me alone with my pain. It goes completely against all she has been trained to do and wants to do. Know what raises my pain level... "got a headache, why dont you take some aspirin and lie down" Hows about I connect this wire coat hanger to an outlet and drill the other end up into your nasal cavity! SUPPORTERS RULE!! |

Title: Re: Married.......with CHs Post by catlind on Nov 4th, 2002, 8:16pm I'm with Don ..... SUPPORTERS RULE!!!! If it weren't for Clark (when he's not deployed) I don't know if my children would survive my cycles! He keeps them occupied or tells them what to do to help me and lets them know when to leave me alone. Supporters have a hard job...it's not easy to watch someone you love and care about suffer unimaginable pain. Margi has said it best many times, ask your significant other or what it is they need from you as a supporter when they are NOT having a headache. Cat |
