Here's the deal, everyone go to this meegraine survey:

Takes less than a minute to complete, I just checked my age, that I wanted to contact the maker of Imitrex and that I was there for someone else and that was it.

They will send you $5 for doing it. Thne turn around and donate the $5 to DJ to run the web site.

That's the homework assignement for this week.

Ok, did the survey, checked the box that said I was "inquiring for that Meegrainer Hub" and worked! ;D

It also is going to send me an e-mail for a second survey for another 5 bucks, with an option for $100 bucks to identify all the meegrainers posin on this site! :D

I think GlaxoSmithKline tries a little too hard to prove where CH stands in the pecking order. Imitrex is the drug of choice for aborting clusters (although they still only give us a tiny little piece of the pharmacology) and what's the name of the Imitrex website? Migraine Help. Does the site mention CH at all? If it does, I still haven't found it... C'est la vie. Wonder if OUCH can use the money they sent to run a grass roots campaign to convince them to acknowledge CH once in a while. ;D

Sorry, it was confusing. I did want the donations to go to DJ via the history link on this website.

I said OUCh fundraiser because the OUCH site is hosted on the same server as this site, and paid for by DJ. So by donating some to DJ, you're helping fund the OUCH sites web space.

I've been working on the Glaxo sales managers. I keep running the numbers past them, # of clusterheads, # of headaches that equates to, # of trex shots they could be selling. Even trying to convince them to hammer the insurance companies to give us more meds, helps us, helps Glaxo. They haven't quite gotten the message yet but still working on them. Some day I'll hammer the guy.

Maybe our next homework assignment can be to contact GSK, asking why CH isn't really covered on their websites or literature for Imitrex. They seemed willing enough to mention when they won the Queen's Award for anti-migraine treatment back in 1996 for Imigran (Imitrex) that an estimated 2 million clusterheads had used the product (compared to the 52 million migraineurs that had tried it) since it's introduction. Just finished...did not get an error message...but I did not select that I was there for someone else....said I was there for myself, that I wanted to contact the makers of Imitex...and just selected the symptoms etc that fit for my ch, be it none of the above or what have you....thinking maybe if they got survey results from people that had been prescribed Imitrex and yet that did not fit into the migraine diagnosis...they might start thinking about the rest of their customer base. Just the freak in me. Sorry.
