Title: Feeling kinda down
Post by Jim R on Oct 25th, 2002, 3:31pm
today.  Don't know if it's my CH's (have one, now mild after some stadol), E's tragedy, approaching winter, being on my wife's shit list, my client drying up, or what...just kind of down.  Hope you don't mind me venting a little here...this cycle and all the meds I've been on and continue to be on is kind of depressing.  Hope you all have good, pain-free weekends and have some fun too.  Jim R

I think I put my finger on it...I feel OLD!  I'm achy - getting over a cold, feel rotten still.... Man, I grew a beard and it's half white!  WTF!  how can hair that is 14-6 years younger than the hair on my head be white already!?  Just having the beard makes me feel old - maybe I'll cut it off tonight!  LMAO!  Maybe that will rejuvenate me...  Slap my face, I think I'm whining!!  I will now STFU!   ;D  - Jim R

Although I don't know you, I want to remind you that you are still loved...

Hang in there, and try to have a good weekend, just the same.

I think you hit the nail on the head Jim.  You just feel old.  I can relate to the white chin -- when I had it -- put some color in it.
I can also relate to the stadol stone you have going for you.  That will most definately put you in grandpa gear.
Hang in there buddy -- you will get over it.
Sorry about the shitlist you're on.  I'm right there with you on that also.  My wife has PMS which results in me getting a constant SRH.
Later Jim,

echo - bro - I don't know why I'm on her shit list - I think iit might be because I balked at buying my youngest son a car last night...I was feeling stingy and USED and ABUSED and made some sarcastic comment....and then suddenly my name was added to THAT LIST LMAO!  Yeah, this stadol is brutal - i took it for my CH and because my shoulder is killing me (I think old age arthritis!  LOL) but it's given me a little buzzzzzzz and my shoulder still hurts a little....  Hey _ ya got me out of it - I'M NOT WHINING ANYMORE!!! Am I?  No, think not!  So, I won't have to slap myself again (although others are probably lining up to!! )  Happy FRIDAY WEEEEEEEEEE!  - Jim R

Hey - look at ol' OneEyeBlind making a joke with the first post!

Cheer up Jim - I grew my beard (go-tee) three years ago (when I was 38) and it's grey as well.  But, I like my grey.  It adds character to my otherwise too goodlooking face!   ;)

Cut off the beard
Shave your head into a mohawk (sideways)
Dye your mohawk multicolored
Pierce your eyebrows
Don't look down

Good advice guys!  That stadol is whacko.  I never used it much 'cause it never seemed to help my CH much - still doesn't much, but I took it more for my ?arthritic shoulder which it is helping somewhat.  But I got a CH coming on and I just hope the O2 works this time....Jim R

Jim, I hope that our crew of wall-papering fruitcakes has made you feel a bit better.  Can't do anything about the age thing, but I'll bet ya anythiing if you go outside, pick her a flower and put it in a vase and then make dinner, clean it up, scrub the floor, wash the windows, vaccum the carpet, and of course give her a great neck rub....she will gladly take you off her shit list.   This is just my humble opinion of course, she may have her own ideas.   Linda

Feeling old...

Day before yesterday, I was in the parking lot at the Giant's game with the BBQ, a cooler full of beers and no tickets to the game.  I wasn't going to let a detail like that stop me... Anyway, we had a TV set in the back of the hatchback, and a nice little quiet generator to power it.  That way, if we didn't get in, we'd still have a good time seeing the game and getting good and drunk before we drove home.  :P

Anyway, this news crew from Channel 40 (Sacramento) starts filming us out there, mostly because it's anything but tailgating weather, and because we didn't even have tickets to the game.  Now, the TV really intrigued this anchor woman, who was probably 22-24.  Here is what made me feel O L D.  She had NO FRIGGIN CLUE what the dials on the front of the mystery box were for... you know, those mystifying dials labelled VHF and UHF.  She actually wanted to film us 'adjusting' this contraption.  OMG.

Cathi,

Those rabbit ears were out there, and they did get some looks.  Maybe someday they'll equip the stadium parking lots with cable.... not.  Rabbit ears are here to stay.

Sorry guys, couldn't help it...  :D

Tough way to lose a series.. but what a series!

For those of you who live outside the states of Northern California and Southern California, The Anaheim Angels beat the San Francisco Giants 4 games to 3 games to win the World Series!   :D

Thought I would clue you all in since, according to the ratings, only people in these 2 states watched the games..   ;D

Interesting about the ratings.....everywhere I went this weekend in Queens, NY there were people mesmerized to big screens and mini-sets propped up in odd places....ROOTIN' FOR THE ANGELS....my mom nearly had a fit and put a foot through hers when she thought they were going to lose.....good thing...LOL :D
