Title: Discount tickets to CH.COM
Post by rumplestiltskin on Oct 12th, 2002, 7:59am
I have likened Clusterville to an amusement park more than once. The seriousmess of  Clusters makes it a forced metaphor but once thru the gates it plays well.

Most people love roller coasters…It’s pulls the fear , wonder and excitement right outta yer gut up into yer screaming mouth YES! OH NO! or OH MY GOD! Look at the long threads that appear here. They have that same appeal. Someone posts something controversial… each click click click of their words pulls us up that first hill. By it’s nature we find ourselves caught up in agreeing or disagreeing or both… butt for sure our hearts are starting to race as we approach the peak and a response is sucked right out of our typin screamin fingers. You just have to react!

Then from the force of that first drop and other voices join in ….the thing takes on a life of it’s own….there ain’t no stoppin it till everyone’s got their scream out….rattlin and racing through curves, more hills, upside down loopdee loops…the more controversial the rougher the ride. Some lose heart and want off….some forget it’s just a ride….the excitement of it is contagious. As it looses steam someone click click clicks it up a new hill of radical opinion and we are off and runnin again. Some people get on just cause they see a crowd there.

Just fer the hellofit I started checkin all the replys to all the posts that are visible right now. I stopped about halfway down. I found what I was after. I was lookin fer posts directly CH related….replies that supported, offered answers, or presented someone’s own story in reply to CH related matters. I stopped counting at 82. Seems to me that in the midst of all the hubbub and fartin around and flamin and roller coasters and merry go rounds….the work is getting done…In my 3 ½ years here I find that has always been the case.

At present there are such a large number of folks here I find that most times before I even see a post there have been a sufficient number of responces to it that I don’t feel the need to chime in. Jonny get’s his butt kicked regular enough so I’m happy.

I hang around in case noone ever heard of the blue cheese and vinegar treatment and although my Vera has me totally painfree I wanna be here to learn  every new CH pain management trick that works…cause I been here long enough to know that there ain’t no cure yet and I never want to go back to the agony I was in before I found this amusement site.

My Dear Mr. O'Connor,

As always, you have of way of yanking us back to the point where we CAN see the perspective in the whole ugly mess.  It's like you can cure us of the seasickness just be getting us to look at the horizon, instead of the movement in the water.

You, sir, ROCK.  Thank you.

;)

Jonny is obviously on too much Lithium again.  Hey, Bro, don't use Lith as a mix with beer.  You are supposed to drink the stuff neat! ;D

Den, you nailed the hammer on the head and that is why we all gather so eagerly here.

*whispers to Nancy*

Jonny and Den had a mock physical altercation at last year's convention that was advertised here on ch.com.  Somewhat similar to a WWF fight.  Lines were comically drawn in the sand and the proverbial gloves were off.

Now, our friend Den is vertically challenged and is quite proud of his cute troll appearance.  He's one of our cluster angels here.  And, surprise, surprise, Jonny is another one.  He just is in different packaging.  It was an obviously mis-matched fight from the beginning.  But I think Den won.  *she says, as she ducks*

so, yes, in answer to your question - Jonny's comment was a continuation of that mock fight.  The appropriate response is to smile and roll your eyes Heavenward.

Carry on, everyone - back to what you were talking about and I believe Jonny's next move would be .....HHHMMMMMMM?

See?  I CAN be nice.  :P
