Joke did in the past some great supporting, she found time for that although she's chronic. Her absence wasn't entirely her own choosing.

Charlie I thought I was a senior Ha! Ha! As for the horror, if you cant beet them join them and try to enjoy you life when you can. I have learnd to be thankful for my pain free houers even days sometimes.
I would like to let you all know that I could not have done this without your help and the help of my own personal supporter. As for medication I am without since 22 august. The side effects of Dezeriel were worse than the benifit. In acctual fact there was hardly any differance. I now cope with imigran injections, Ice, migrane roler and most importent trying to ignore the beast and just become hiper active in unnecissary movement and rest when I become too tyered. For the rest I make sure I have Imigran at all the adresses I somtimes stay so I dont have to worry that I have enough with me. I have also learnd not to withdrow when the beest hits. I just inject and wait for it to make its exit and then I just listen because as you well know it is often pointles speaking for at least an hour. The lack of consentration and the slury speach is now well known by my friends and I dont nead to explain it to others because they do that for me. This makes life a lot easyer. I will try to come round from time to time to see how you are all doing but I will not make it a habbit.

I post pretty regularly to some other boards totally off this subject and sometimes we don’t like it when derogatory statements are made. It is unfortunate and at the same time a good thing small families are formed in these boards. The small families have the knowledge and do share but they also have strong feelings about their boards and sometimes let it show. The bad thing is the newbie quickly gets turned off or intimidated and leaves still looking for info. This is a good source for the newbie.

I don’t think the intention of the board is to flame the newbies or returning sufferers but when the old timers slam each other a different image is portrayed. As Todd said in the new visitors section,

Whew!!! That was a lot to read, wasn't it? Sorry, but we want your first impression of us to be as positive as it can be.

We are a small family, less than 1 percent of the population. Let’s not run off someone who is lucky enough to find a new family that can offer support. Printed words are a powerful tool and when there is no facial expression, body language or opportunity for an immediate personal exchange of words, things can and do get misinterpreted.

Seriously maybe a new message board topic under jokes called Bashing that the moderator could move less than desirable postings to. Then if you want to see the family from the inside you made the choice and it wasn’t forced on you.

If my memory serves me correctly, you tried shrooms last year - we spoke in several private emails - did they ever help? I missed seeing you on theMB although I was gone for a while as well... Now in the (maybe) middle of my cycle and having some luck with verapamil and catapres in combo....still get the odd one or two, but with this combo, greatly relieved by O2 (whereas tehy weren't before). I am glad that you are back.
