Damn - should have knocked on wood - I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN that the friggin beast wouldn't let me have any significant PF time. He's still here but I took my pain meds and they're beginning to kick in (O2 did not work) - it came on so fast, like they always do... I'm NOT going to let this get me down though. it;s coming back again now, harder than before - maybe a kip 7..If I hadn;t just eaten these pain meds would have already kicked in - DAMN, it hurts, my teeth ...

Jim - hang in there. This MOFO always seems to change and modify his attacks. But you are stronger than him and you will prevail. One battle does not win the war.

They are still leavin Jim, don't lose faith... thats how Dave ends every cycle... thinks theyre gone and they say ... this is what it feels like one more (sometimes a few more)time (s)!!! Then they space out... one here one there and then one day he says havent had one in a coupla weeks... voila... believe... don't go getting negative on us... ~~~ree~~~~

Thanks everyone. The pain diminished last night after taking the percocet and then came back at around 11:00, so took another and thought I would get a decent night's sleep. But, ALL I did all night is itch and scratch - no headache, but unbelievable itching. I know it is a side effect of percocet, but man, maybe I'm developing an allergy to it. Now, this morning, I have shadows again - if it's not one thing, it's another...

Hopefully, these CH's were a fluke and I'll go back to my blissful PF days again.

Jim... Something I've found that sorta helps when the beast is smashing your teeth... Chew a piece of gum... Dunno if it helps during an attack (never had the thought to chew anything during an attack) but it helped with the pain in the teeth after the attack was over. Hope the beast is just makin' a final hit before leavin' for ya.

Hi! Hope things are getting better-i feel so bad for you guys that get hit so hard. I can barely handle what I have which pales in comparison- hang tough-pray.

Thanks again everyone. Yes, I hope it's just a temporary setback. Drk - I will try that after a bit when my teeth/gum soreness calms down from the dental work. Usually I chew arms, heads, or legs of anyone who gets near me during a CH, so this would be a much more socially acceptable measure!! LOL!

Have had shadows off and on today between the CH's and my face is all sore around the areas affected by last night's CH's, so I have taken some Percocets and they've helped but the itching from the oxycodine is irritating! Oh well, can't have everything!

Okay! It's been five days since this original post and I haven't been hit again...so I guess that does say something. I've even been able I can live with these infrequent CH's - at least I'm not getting pounded multiple times every day. I only have the verapamil/catapres combo to thank for this and I urge those of you who have not found the right combo, to speak to your docs about a trial of this. Yeah, there are some side effects - wicked dry mouth like cotton and maybe some intermittent problems "down below", but to be PF is HEAVEN ON EARTH!

Sorry, echo, that the f*cker has invaded your space. Kick him in the nuts for me and you, will ya?! LOL! Sometimes I think he leaves one alone for a while just to go torture another for a bit - like musical chairs! I've been on O2 tonight for strong shadows/mild CH's I am really, really tired tonight and the bastard wants to hit me when that happens.
