Title: t Post by robb__30 on Sep 25th, 2002, 12:26pm Thought they were gone but, they were'nt. Went two days without an attack then all of a sudden at 5:10pm yesterday it returned with a vengance. It was the longest attack in 11 years of having clusters. The attack lasted just over 3 hour. Usually they last only an hour. I am in to week five of my cycle. these headaches are different from the other that I have had in the past. I dont have them every day. They dont happen at the same time every day like they used to. The headaches will shift. What I mean is I will have them in the day for a week the they will shift to late at night. Has this happened to anyone else befor? Is it a sign of becoming a cronic sufferer? I mean even now I have had low intense shadows all day. Its very strange. Does anyone have an idea? |

Title: Re: t Post by echo on Sep 25th, 2002, 12:45pm I assume that the military drs are still reluctant to give you an imitrex Rx. Has O2 helped at all this time around? I have never experience a lenghty CH like you have described. Normal for me is between 20 - 45 minutes. I may have them piggy back on each other and last for several hours though. Hope you go PF soon. Hand in there. I spent a month in Ft. Riley one week. Which town do you prefer to bar hop in -- Junction or Manhattan? |

Title: Re: t Post by curtisdsc on Sep 25th, 2002, 3:16pm I am assuming from echo's post you are in the military? Hell they diagnosed me and after using midrin forever the Dr I saw gave me Imitrex shots the first chance he got. Which branch of service? I hope like echo you get rid of them soon. |

Title: Re: t Post by domm on Sep 25th, 2002, 4:46pm Robb - sorry to hear you're getting hammered again. I noticed the character, timing and intensity of my HAs change, but only after I started Verapamil. After the first week, it was pretty evident that they were beaten and going to have to retreat, but they didn't give up without a fight. I upped the dosage and wacked them out. After 4 weeks, I'm on day 8 with no HAs, only very minor shadows, and am getting full sleep. Without the V - mine were like clockwork and very predictable. Hope you find the cause and the right set of meds for you domm |
